I didn't oversleep, I had time to make myself a berry smoothie, my cat didn't bite me and my lawn is MOWED. Now that is the way to start the week!
Mombo *might* even be coming to visit me this weekend! Originally she was going to but when I talked with her yesterday she was all "but of course with the pizza party Thursday, this might not be a good week"...What? She's having a pizza party? I wasn't even invited! I am hurt. Or she's going to one. I like how she says things like that like I am supposed to have any clue what she's talking about. I just smile and nod, although she can't see either of those since we're on the phone.
IF she does, she's gonna pick me up lots and lots of wine and goodies. *happiness*
Guys, I have a PROBLEM. The problem is that just because I have my Cybook (which I love and which is so beautiful and gorgeous and awesome and I never let go, never ever, it's that shiny) - even though I have it...sometimes I want to buy an Kindle as well. Which is RIDICULOUS. I mean, I'm not gonna, but sheesh, longing, get out of my head!
It's the same want that sometimes makes me want a new computer, even though my own is totally servicable and hi, only a year old.
Ohhh! You'll like this - LuthorCorp was a bastard and didn't let us go early on Thursday. People nearly rioted in the aisles. And then they have the nerve to follow it up with the Thought For the Day today:

Hhahaha, you know what I love about that? Not just the use of quotes, but also the disclaimers - it's ALMOST like a magic pill that is VIRTUALLY guaranteed. Way to go out on a limb there, LuthorCorp! Does that mean you're not gonna listen?

The fodster and I have had SO FRAKKIN much fun. I am EXHAUSTED. She is so fantastic and funny and tolerant of me dragging her ALL THROUGH MY LIFE! And it was hardly anything to do with fandom! I feel bad for that. But we still had lots of fun.
I shall quite look forward to you coming out here to visit her - I am going to INTRUDE on these visits!

He has developed this adorable new habit of making me follow him downstairs to feed him...you know, where he runs a few steps ahead, waits til I catch up, runs a few steps ahead...
And then he pauses at the top of the second set of stairs and gophers up on his hind legs to rub the top of his head against my hand before going the rest of the way.
