MY SWM!!!

I'm all over the place with fic, too. I have no great desire to read Lost fic right now, despite the fact that I love the show. I love Veronica Mars -- don't want to read fic. I still reread my favorite Spander fics and am always on the lookout for post-AtS Buffyfic, but other than that I'm mostly done. I love M&C fic in all its forms, though since I've really gotten into the books I've become much less enamored of Jack/Stephen NC-17.

OTOH, I don't care a bit about the HP universe in general (have read one book and seen one movie and have not been terribly impressed), but I love HP fic written by my f'list that happens well before the books or during/after the wars. I don't care one way or the other about LOTR and know next to nothing about the actors, but I love lotrips.

In short: I am a mess of contradictions. :)

The only fanfic I read is Buffy/ATS stuff. I prefer fic that stays within canon, totally don't get slash (nor want to) and is well written. Of late I have been reading a WIP by [livejournal.com profile] hjcallypgean "Of Those Chosen: The Twins", a post Chosen Buffy fic; also "Living History" by [livejournal.com profile] liz_marks.I recommend both. One of my very favourite AU Buffy/Angel works is by Yahtzee, "Phoenix Burning". Any would be fanfic writers should also check out [livejournal.com profile] honorh's OBAFU (Official Buffy and Angel Fanfic University). It's fun and educational.
Going to do a little advance pimping for a virtual season six Angel that [livejournal.com profile] masqthephlsphr and a great bunch of writers from the ATPoBtVS board are working on. It will be in script form, and should be ready to go very soon. I've had the pleasure of reading a couple of the scripts, and it's going to be great. It will be posted on the Existential Scoobies page over on the ATPoBtVS site. I'm really excited about it.
