I think the Jossverse is the only fandom I got into for pure fannish appreciation. In particular, AtS is the only show that I've ever loved so much that I felt the need to share that love with other people in a way that's completely about the show.

SV is different. Yes, I love it. Yes, it makes me squee and freak and I will never deny the big gay love that is Clark/Lex, but it's the fandom, which is so incredibly talented, that's made it for me.

Likewise, I find the HP books rather simplistic in their morality and I don't actually care about actors, not that you'd know that from the hours I spent on the net surfing for more V/O, but that's a fannish thing as well.

AtS is something I can stand back from and say, in all honesty, that I think it was the best damn thing on television, and if you're not watching it, you're missing something incredible.

I think fandom is about energy and connecting and how everyone else's love for the shows makes me love them more. The opinions of people on my f-list have helped me appreciate the show so much more than I did on my own.

Also, it's not my fault. Your ranting's adorable.
