Swmbo karma strikes again. So, um, after sitting delayed on the plane in Vegas for an hour and a half because of storms in Denver, we were told we would be the next to depart.

And now? There is a maintenance problem which makes the plane unsafe to take off until they figure it out. We've taxied back to the gate so we can be hooked back up for AC...it hit the 90s inside. At this point they are unsure if our plane will fly and they don't have a spare. And *cough* let's not talk about the odds of my making my connecting, k? I had a long layover and with the storms there *is* a chance that it will turn out ok.

Girls making out in my last LJ post? Save some kisses for me, I *totally* need them by now.

For those playing the home game, I'm on United flight 1414 right now and my supposed future flight is 466! Will swmbo make it home to KC? Let's watch!

Think positive thoughts for me! And don't let my plane crash!

Update: It will take another hour to wven find out what the problem is. And they don't have agents to rebook but they let us off to wait around and see. And they are totally disorganized about what can be done. And here I thought my karma was all better!

I'm sorry you're stuck. I deliberately didn't post about my last few plane trips because I didn't want to create bad karma for Writercon.

The stats: last three trips--baggage lost three times.

Number of legs out of the last four where I was able to get on the flight originally scheduled: zero.

I'm sure they won't let the plane take off unless it's safe, though.

I know! Damn it, so many people I barely got a chance to see at all, *bursts into tears* And I wanted to try to hook up with green after my workshop but hers went longer and then I had to do the darn..getting stranded at the airport thing. Oh! Hugs, hugs, hugs! The disturbing thing is that they didn't know about the mechanical problemuntil you'd been on the tarmac for an hour+ after* you;d been cleared to fly! Someone at Ted (finally saw the advertisments. Very, very silly. Maybe you should drop them a card. "If you'd like a *good* campaign,call my office.") owes you *something* - extra tickets, cashback, something, since you were delayed due to meechanics and not weather.
