CONTENT GALORE!

Hello chickadeeeeees!

I have had two cups of coffee and now I'm having chicken fingers for breakfast. Hush, [livejournal.com profile] moireach, sometimes we have to do what have to do.

Last night was a horror and a half. Even though the temps outside dipped into the lower sixties, my house would NOT cool off. I was up at 2 am unable to sleep from the heat.

So I logged on World of Warcraft. Died with my druid and thought 'i should do something i don't have to focus on' and decided to play a newbie - my little lvl 8 warlock *beams at her*. And I played until 6 am, when the house FINALLY cooled off enough. And then I went and lay down for about 30 minutes and things flickered before my eyelids and all I could think about was how I don't know how many more days of this I could take! I might need to see about taking a half day tomorrow or something and getting somebody in before Friday. Particularly cause mombo has decided she's NOT coming down Thursday night now, she's gonna come down Friday instead which means she won't get here til afternoon anyway!

In kitten news - I got his meds. The pharmacy makes it on the premises and are specialize in customized prescriptions based on weight and size, etc. And making it in forms that the animals will eat. So it's this liquid made from tuna juice and it makes me think of tuna fish sandwiches and the kitten LOVED it and I've never had an easier time feeding a pet their meds. He has to have a dose every night for a month - and I think he'll be crushed when it's finished. My favorite part is the warning label: May cause nausea, stomach ache or headache. I wanna know how they know it might give him a headache! I keep asking him how his head feels but so far he's not indicated a problem.

They called about my car last night, as well! Apparently she hit me so hard the floor buckled. *sobs* It is gonna take a lot lot lot of work to fix it. I'm supposed to go over and sign a release form for them to take the rear-end off so they can investigate further. Meep.

My back is twitchy but I don't actually think it's a result of the accident, just it being twitchy.

NOW! JUST so you don't think that my LJ is going to turn into all whine, all the time (as opposed to all wine, which would be a plus - speaking of which Mombo IS making arrangements to bring up lots and lots of wine, weee!), we present you with exciting LuthorCorp news!!

First of all, we're going to decorate the back hallway. I'm a member of the committee (even though I told them I have no artistic abilities at all, but if they draw outlines, i can color them in!). We're doing a catacomb of clowns aka creepy carnivale fun! We're going to get plastic masks and paint scary clown faces on them and get cotton-wool cotton candy to wrap things with and paint the hallway like a big top of DEATH. It's very exciting. ALso wrong because I hate hate hate clowns. But the 'sunken pirate ship' was going to be too much work. Although, as swmboss and swmboss 2.0 said, anything we don't use for the back hallway & break room will be kept in mind for the Great Halloween Decorations of 05.

Second of all, Coworker R came back from her vacation today! Well, came back in the loosest sense, she was in this morning but now has the rest of the week off. Coworker R went to New York City for the extended holiday weekend and naturally they went out to eat.

As they approach the restaurant, there's a guy outside shouting "Superman's inside, Superman's inside". Coworker R and her husband just ignore it, thinking 'crazy homeless guy'.

Then they walk in, are seated and discover that their table is...right next to Tom Welling's.

Apparently crazy homeless guy was only SORTA crazy! Coworker R said she made eye contact briefly and then couldn't take it and had to look away. But that he looks exactly like he does on TV and is absolutely gorgeous. This prompted about a ten minute discussion of Tom Welling at work. *beams* And Coworker N is going to bring in a poster to hang up of him.

Tom W. was with some guy who wanted to be his new agent. And they were eating cheesecake and the wanna-be-agent guy kept raving about how delicious the cheesecake was. And the lady next to Coworker R turned to Tom and said "Is it really that good?" and he smiled and said "It really, really is". And was just as nice as can be. Nobody came up to bother him, although a lot of people were taking pictures from a distance.

So that made all of our day here, because awww. Plus our own Lex is going to be so jealous when he hears about it!! The Chief Operating Officer of my company has huge Smallville posters all over his office wall and collects superman memorabilia. It's actually disconcerting to go to his office for a review or a meeting and have huge posters of Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum staring down at you. But in a good way.

Anyway, that's the news from the swm-front!
