CONTENT GALORE!

Hello chickadeeeeees!

I have had two cups of coffee and now I'm having chicken fingers for breakfast. Hush, [livejournal.com profile] moireach, sometimes we have to do what have to do.

Last night was a horror and a half. Even though the temps outside dipped into the lower sixties, my house would NOT cool off. I was up at 2 am unable to sleep from the heat.

So I logged on World of Warcraft. Died with my druid and thought 'i should do something i don't have to focus on' and decided to play a newbie - my little lvl 8 warlock *beams at her*. And I played until 6 am, when the house FINALLY cooled off enough. And then I went and lay down for about 30 minutes and things flickered before my eyelids and all I could think about was how I don't know how many more days of this I could take! I might need to see about taking a half day tomorrow or something and getting somebody in before Friday. Particularly cause mombo has decided she's NOT coming down Thursday night now, she's gonna come down Friday instead which means she won't get here til afternoon anyway!

In kitten news - I got his meds. The pharmacy makes it on the premises and are specialize in customized prescriptions based on weight and size, etc. And making it in forms that the animals will eat. So it's this liquid made from tuna juice and it makes me think of tuna fish sandwiches and the kitten LOVED it and I've never had an easier time feeding a pet their meds. He has to have a dose every night for a month - and I think he'll be crushed when it's finished. My favorite part is the warning label: May cause nausea, stomach ache or headache. I wanna know how they know it might give him a headache! I keep asking him how his head feels but so far he's not indicated a problem.

They called about my car last night, as well! Apparently she hit me so hard the floor buckled. *sobs* It is gonna take a lot lot lot of work to fix it. I'm supposed to go over and sign a release form for them to take the rear-end off so they can investigate further. Meep.

My back is twitchy but I don't actually think it's a result of the accident, just it being twitchy.

NOW! JUST so you don't think that my LJ is going to turn into all whine, all the time (as opposed to all wine, which would be a plus - speaking of which Mombo IS making arrangements to bring up lots and lots of wine, weee!), we present you with exciting LuthorCorp news!!

First of all, we're going to decorate the back hallway. I'm a member of the committee (even though I told them I have no artistic abilities at all, but if they draw outlines, i can color them in!). We're doing a catacomb of clowns aka creepy carnivale fun! We're going to get plastic masks and paint scary clown faces on them and get cotton-wool cotton candy to wrap things with and paint the hallway like a big top of DEATH. It's very exciting. ALso wrong because I hate hate hate clowns. But the 'sunken pirate ship' was going to be too much work. Although, as swmboss and swmboss 2.0 said, anything we don't use for the back hallway & break room will be kept in mind for the Great Halloween Decorations of 05.

Second of all, Coworker R came back from her vacation today! Well, came back in the loosest sense, she was in this morning but now has the rest of the week off. Coworker R went to New York City for the extended holiday weekend and naturally they went out to eat.

As they approach the restaurant, there's a guy outside shouting "Superman's inside, Superman's inside". Coworker R and her husband just ignore it, thinking 'crazy homeless guy'.

Then they walk in, are seated and discover that their table is...right next to Tom Welling's.

Apparently crazy homeless guy was only SORTA crazy! Coworker R said she made eye contact briefly and then couldn't take it and had to look away. But that he looks exactly like he does on TV and is absolutely gorgeous. This prompted about a ten minute discussion of Tom Welling at work. *beams* And Coworker N is going to bring in a poster to hang up of him.

Tom W. was with some guy who wanted to be his new agent. And they were eating cheesecake and the wanna-be-agent guy kept raving about how delicious the cheesecake was. And the lady next to Coworker R turned to Tom and said "Is it really that good?" and he smiled and said "It really, really is". And was just as nice as can be. Nobody came up to bother him, although a lot of people were taking pictures from a distance.

So that made all of our day here, because awww. Plus our own Lex is going to be so jealous when he hears about it!! The Chief Operating Officer of my company has huge Smallville posters all over his office wall and collects superman memorabilia. It's actually disconcerting to go to his office for a review or a meeting and have huge posters of Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum staring down at you. But in a good way.

Anyway, that's the news from the swm-front!

Dude, they totally WILL!!

Seriously, they fight and bicker and slap each other upside the head but you know they'd DIE for each other and it's so, SO good, omg!! *crushes hard*

it'll be on Tuesdays!! On the WB!

THERE IS BANTER AND THERE ARE FISTICUFFS!!!!!

[identity profile] stoney321.livejournal.com 2005-07-06 03:40 pm (UTC)(link)
OMG.
Number 1. TOM WELLING. I'm melting all the way down here just THINKING of how pretty he is. *sigh*
Number 2. The floor BUCKLED? Are you SURE you are okay? That's one hell of a hit. And, um, with structural damage, are you SURE they aren't going to just total it? New car...
Number 3. Tuna meds!! Can your Pharmacist make me chocolate meds? Tequila shooter antibiotics? Hee!

The warlock in EQII focuses on spells of disease and poison, I'm going to be a wizard who works with elemental magic like fire and ice. I am up to lvl 18 as of last night. OMG I am such a dork! *beams*

Forgot to mention...KITTEN! I love hearing about SwmKit and his exciting adventures. I am down to one cat and it feels so wrong, since I'm used to having three. But she is mean to others of her kind, and the last kitten we had who has since gone to live with my ex (*cries*) became completely neurotic as a result of living with Pudzilla. So I am going to wait to get a new baby until Pudge passes on to the great stomping ground in the sky, which hopefully will not be anytime soon. *cuddles her*

[identity profile] vylit.livejournal.com 2005-07-06 03:41 pm (UTC)(link)
YOUR FLOOR BUCKLED?!? Are you sure it's not responsible for your current back issues, 'cause dude, YOUR FLOOR BUCKLED.

I really hate clowns and find them unbelievably creepy, so the idea of your hallway decorated in a bunch of them... *cringe*

OMG, WELLING!!! I hear he is the biggest sweetheart, actually kind of shy, and I just adore that he's so nice. *has a big fangirl moment* Also, I want large Rosenbaum and Welling posters on my wall at work...

[identity profile] shadowlongknife.livejournal.com 2005-07-06 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Dude, Tom Welling staring down at me all day would freak me RIGHT OUT.

Tim Daly = Superman.

(cartoon thing. Will explain upon request)

[identity profile] swmbo.livejournal.com 2005-07-06 03:45 pm (UTC)(link)
ohh, cool - eq2 is NOT like eq1 in classes then, because they didn't have a warlock :)

The WoW one basically has a lot of DoTs and a few direct damage, and summons different minions to help fight - some minions are tanks and others supplemental spell casters.

WOOT! 18!!! That's awesome. SO addicting!

Aww, I wish you could have a kitten, too. I forgot how wonderful they are - but I have to say, swmkit is the best kitten i have ever had.

[identity profile] swmbo.livejournal.com 2005-07-06 03:47 pm (UTC)(link)
1. God, I KNOW! We hear that and we're expected to THINK today? Man, to be in Coworker R's shoes...

2. Yes. *sigh* I'm actually not happy about it at all, it's kind of a lose-lose situation. The car WAS new, after all - it had only 5500 miles on it. But of course now I'm looking at a car that might not be safe to drive OR basically being screwed financially. I'm going to find out when I go there today more.

3. they totally will make things like chocolate meds for kids and stuff, hee! But probably not tequila :p

[identity profile] arundhathi.livejournal.com 2005-07-06 03:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, so when I start looking for a job (shush!), I think that offices with huge posters of Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum on the walls will be high on my list of requirements.

I am refraining from comment about the chicken fingers. Ugh. Oh, darn.

[identity profile] swmbo.livejournal.com 2005-07-06 03:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I know!!! But the back feels the same twitchy way it has over the last six months, nothing different. So it might have aggravated it but it's nothing new. But I am really, really feeling on the thin edge of sanity right now.

YES! He was apparently completely down to earth and so very nice. *melts all over again*

[identity profile] swmbo.livejournal.com 2005-07-06 03:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Dude, it so would not freak me out!! Distract me, yes :)

[identity profile] swmbo.livejournal.com 2005-07-06 03:53 pm (UTC)(link)
hahhahahha you can never resist *beams*

See? You should come work for LuthorCorp!! We'll keep the electroshock therapy to a minimum!!

[identity profile] vylit.livejournal.com 2005-07-06 04:01 pm (UTC)(link)
*melts with you*

You know, I haven't seen mention of Manager V in a while, and WE ALL KNOW that Manager V is the best. I mean, come on, just look at the name.

And also, eeee! I'm one of the twenty people invited to the Smallville Slumber Party that's being held in Vancouver, and Michael Rosenbaum is being contacted about meeting all twenty of us. Just thinking about it gives me a fangirl moment!

[identity profile] swmbo.livejournal.com 2005-07-06 04:12 pm (UTC)(link)
eee, that's so fantastic!

Hee, we hardly ever hear about Coworker A or K either, and that's much much worse! Coworker V has never been a frequent LJ mention.

ohhh, that would be so fabulous if it happens - I cross my fingers and toes for you!

[identity profile] myriad69.livejournal.com 2005-07-06 04:34 pm (UTC)(link)
MEEP!! Car!!! *holds you close*

And we need MORE PICTURES of Swmkitty!! MORE!! Oooh!! Get pictures of Swmkitten with Nephbo!! *prepares to die of total cuteness*

And look!! I'm actually commenting in your journal EARLY today!! *beams*

[identity profile] snarkhunter.livejournal.com 2005-07-06 04:35 pm (UTC)(link)
HEE! Tom Welling!

Your hallway decorating scheme is SCARY. Is your work motto "Can't sleep; clowns will eat me"?

I feel your tired!swm pain. Come over here and we can curl up in a hobbit pile and take a group nap. Who's with me?

[identity profile] swmbo.livejournal.com 2005-07-06 04:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee, no that is too much cuteness for the camera. SOME THINGS CAN NOT BE BORN!

Also, I am not letting nephbo touch swmkit while swmkit has ringworm. Infants are very likely to get it!

[identity profile] fitofpique.livejournal.com 2005-07-06 04:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Argh! I don't get the WB! And I watch Scrubs and House on Tuesdays!

*alarm bells and flashing lights*

SCHEDULING CONFLICT SCHEDULING CONFLICT SCHEDULING CONFLICT!

*freaks out*

Maybe I could dl it?

[identity profile] swmbo.livejournal.com 2005-07-06 04:41 pm (UTC)(link)
YES! NO sleeping on the job! THE CLOWNS ARE OUT THERE!

*leans against you* I am with you! group nap right NOW!

[identity profile] swmbo.livejournal.com 2005-07-06 04:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes! You must try to download it *worries*

It's sooo good, Fod and I watched the pilot screener ep and were in LOVE! I can't remember the last time I was this happy with just about every aspect of a pilot.

[identity profile] myriad69.livejournal.com 2005-07-06 04:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Ewww, ringworm! Of course, I really have no idea what that is, but it sounds nasty. NASTY!

And yes, that much cuteness and the camera would probably break.

I want to know if there is actually anyone out there who DOESN'T think clowns are scary. Because? Brrrrr!

[identity profile] swmbo.livejournal.com 2005-07-06 04:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee! It's not THAT bad but not for babies! It's the same fungus that can cause athlete's foot, etc. Except not on the foot.

[identity profile] fitofpique.livejournal.com 2005-07-06 04:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you have a linky to dl the pilot? I want to watch!

*pouts*

[identity profile] swmbo.livejournal.com 2005-07-06 04:58 pm (UTC)(link)
*squishes*

I will check and email you when I get HOME! *squishes*

[identity profile] elucidate-this.livejournal.com 2005-07-06 05:21 pm (UTC)(link)
kitty!! all these kitty posts make me curse the pet-free-ness of my apartment.

also, floor buckling? ack, that must have been some crazy hard hit. *wraps you in cotton and bubble wrap for future protection*

and re WoW, my friend d was telling me all about his WoW adventures last night and in a fit of trying to demonstrate that i know things i was all 'but can you turn into a cheetah? i have a friend who can turn into a cheetah' and he explained that he wasn't playing as a druid so no he could not, but he seemed very excited that you could.

[identity profile] astarte99.livejournal.com 2005-07-06 05:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Dude! I must have missed previous mention of this. That is soooooo awesome. *has fangirl moment with you*
