Fear NOT! swmbo is ON THE JOB! (except not)

Happy Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] therealamy!! I hope it's fantastic!

Strangely, I feel the need to update to tell the world that I am not dead. This is even more weird and compelling since 1) I updated yesterday and 2) I often don't update on Saturdays and 3) I don't think any of you thought I was dead, nor has anything happened to me to cause me to go "omg, it's ok, I am ok!".

Well, other than the fact that I am still fiercely fighting the cold, but I'm applying regular doses of coffee to it and I just took a nice, hot bath and feel spectacular at the moment. Yesterday I went over to my BFFs in the evening again and watched, I admit this freely and with love, five hours of SVU. And the dog and I had a fabulous time doing so. We also played fetch (I won, because I got the job of sitting on the couch) and had chips with queso and salsa and also wine. Victory was so mine. Then I went to bed and got up early this morning and went BACK over for a morning of bonding. It's gorgeous but cold outside today. And I'm about to head over to spend a few more hours with the dog (ALL this uninterrupted puppy time is fabulous) and then I'm going to a birthday party, where I will not stay late because I need my rest this weekend! Also because the weather's tragic dip into the fifties means it's going to be a very chilly tiki party. And I have no hawaiian shirt, fandom indentification with Wash notwithstanding.

And hmmm, what else? I will finish my Slag Heap story tomorrow, I am feeling too lazy and mellow to do so today. I should be mowing the lawn but I am also going to do that tomorrow. Instead I am asking myself the age old question of "X-Files" or "Carnivale" for watching next. I lean towards X-Files, so that Arrie will stop taunting me. Also, I watched the first three episodes of Oz and damn, that show hits me in the gut and hurts. I'll have to watch more. I am completely a fandom whore. Ros told me so.

I still fail to be a millionaire. I am puzzled and confused by this.

I hope you all have fun today!

*kicks you with episodes of Summerland* I DON'T WANT TO BE LAME ALL BY MYSELF ANYMORE!

Or, um, X-Files. 'cause you can never go wrong with X-Files.

It makes me SO HAPPY that you are into SVU. See, would I ever steer you wrong, baby? ONLY THE GOOD FANDOMS FOR YOU!!!

Rest up, my darling!

Yay for dog and DVD time! Sounds delicious!

Have a wonderful time at the birthday party, too -- eat cake. Eat *lots* of cake. :-)

X-files! It has Mulder and Scully in it! They are very funny.

BTW, What exactly should we not fear while you are on the job?

X Files X Files X Files

Ohhh... the Mulder and Scully luve that was sooo unrquited. And then - can't remember what season, Nick Lea as Krycek. The plots never made sense but Nick was a peach that I just want to bite. Gorgeous! And the lust (also unrequired on screen but not in a million fan fics) between Mulder and Krycek gave rise to some of the best fan fiction out there.

Their love was nOt pure.

Hooray for quality bonding time with the puppy, hot coffee, sausa and chips and lots of rest for the Swmbo.

I also so not understand why we are not millionaries. An obvious oversight on the part of the Universe.

No need to tell us your not dead?????
Please, with you doing your own mowing we do need to be kept informed.

Played fetch myself with Phoebe, though she had it easy. She sat on the top stair and threw the "string of fish" and I fetched and returned for her.

Oh and found out how to become a millionaire.
"Buy a million sheep for $1, and sell them all for $2"
I forget where I found that quote, BTW can I borrow a million and a good customer list.
