Triple digit temperatures are NOT acceptable! The weather needs to chill, and I mean that pun with ALL MY HEART.

Anyway, last night on, At Home with swmbo ...

Very little happened! Totally uneventful episode. It must not be ratings week.

Well, I did make my own pita bread. WHICH IS RIDICULOUSLY EXCITING TO ME, OK?! My own pita bread and my own 'turkish kebabs' to stuff in it. I use the quotes because I can and also because I have no idea of the authenticity of the recipe. I just know they were spicy and good.

Other than that, I read some of my next Booker book - February by Lisa Moore. This one I'm enjoying )
And then I played WoW and raided for the first time in weeks, THANK GOODNESS we were able to get something going, because it's been driving people nuts. But summer is a flakey, flakey time.

Also, swmkit was really good and did NOT wake me up this morning before my alarm. It was actually quite strange. Is this the End Times? I have another year and a half, peeps.

I know, I know, an afternoon post? A second in one day? This makes no sense. And yet, and yet, I am talkative today.

So, I was outside at lunch - sitting on a bench, with cup of ice water - the ice melting ridiculously fast because of the temps - and my book and just half reading, half daydreaming in the heat. And the book had memories of childhood and I've been thinking so much about food lately and ...

I just talk about food and the food history of my family )
Food politics are something I get a little obsessive about - and they are crazy waters to navigate at times - but food memories, that's just love. It just makes me happy.

Plus, now I've spread the memories out a little bit more, and I like the idea of all of us networking our memories together so that they live on.
