It is HOT outside. This July has been boiling and the heat indexes have reached oh, 110, apparently? It's sorta ridiculous. Although possibly not as ridiculous as the fact that I keep being drawn to going outside to read for 15 minutes, baking in the shade (BAD SUN BAD) like a leezard.

But mostly I have been like, oh well, I have AC, I am in better shape than say, Seattle people were LAST summer (seriously, OUCH)

and then boom, last night it just started getting warmer and warmer feeling in the house.

This is bad. I check the vents - there is no air coming out. I check the thermostat. It is 3 degrees above where it's supposed to be. I go outside to feel the AC unit.

IT IS RUNNING. BUT COLD AIR IS NOT COMING OUT OF MY VENTS.

World? Prepare to be CONQUERED.

In other news: I am no longer with LuthorCorp, I am ELSEWHERE. I managed to escape the evil (and seriously, toward the end? It was EVIL!) But still in my little mansion with swmkit. Who is fine. And still bossy. And nephbo is almost-freaking SIX. And also, apparently my bio-niece&nephew painted their cat today.

Also, just under a week until the 2010 Man Booker longlist. I wiggle with joy.

PS. Mombo only brought 6 bottles of wine. But she also brought 12 eggplants, 30 tomatoes, 15 cucumbers and a giant box of green peppers. Plus some strange veggies with MURDEROUS SPIKES.
