Wooo!
The power is out at LuthorCorp! Oh, how the mighty has FALLEN!
We had what I thought were apocalyptic-style thunderstorms last night, but were apparently the forces of good striking at the heart of evil. Thus, power out at work. So they sent everybody home until noon, at which point there will be a phone tree to let us know if it's 'come back to work' or 'just keep staying home'.
It'll probably be 'come back to work' because apparently the power and light truck was just pulling in about 20 minutes ago but still - bonus morning off!
So I went home and made myself a leisurely breakfast and confused the heck out of swmkit, who was like 'you just left - I didn't even have time for my nap yet!' Combine that with being off half of Friday and he's probably pretty sick of me.
But this works out brilliantly, because the AC people are supposed to come out at noonish today to do a routine checkup so that this year I don't have it go out in the middle of the hottest weekend of the year (see, last year.) So instead of running home right before noon and crossing my fingers, I'll just wait around until they're here and done and then head into work if that's the story of the day.
BEAUTIFUL DAY.
Now I am going to drink more coffee and read and contemplate the glory of life. May your days be equally as grand.
(And hey, if you want to cross your fingers that power is still out at noon...feel free! Might as well dream big!)
