swmbo at 09:29am on 04/05/2009Oh man, this weekend it did NOT rain! And Sunday was gorgeous! Sunny skies and a nice breeze and I *did not even mind mowing my lawn*!! Yes, Stoney, I left the grass clippings just drift about to mulch and fertilize since the lawn wasn't 6 foot high this time.
And I also baked cookies for the neighbors that had helped out with my previous lawn shenigans, so that's off my conscience :)

Apparently my entire world is completely food centric. It's all the fresh veggies! Spring is AWESOME.
Today we have clients in the office and I have to wear a SUIT. A suit. It's ridiculous. Jeans + T-shirt, that's what I belong in. Grrr.
Ok, the CSA I signed up for at Hen House is the same one I did last year. And every time they give you a couple of cloth bags and a cookbook when you sign up, and fortunately it's a different cookbook than last year. EXCEPT it strikes a note of wrongness in my heart because it's supposedly this Amish cookbook and yet some of the recipes call for things like "Velveeta" which does NOT scream DOWNHOME AMISH COOKING! So you know what? Your little family tree of five thousand people named things like Ruth and Jeremiah and Esther and Caleb and Samuel? TOTALLY negated by the fact that some of your 'treasured recipes' and 'memories of bygone ages' include Velveeta. I have spoken and I have judged, THE END.

Oooook. Well. I think that the advocation of numbness has really inspired me! Thanks, LuthorCorp!
