I hope your days are filled with sunshine and flowers, unless you're allergic and then maybe your day can be filled with sunshine and ferns or really interesting origami figures.
Today is May Day Float day, too, so at 3 this afternoon my little subsection of LuthorCorp will be celebrating our traditional way, with various ice creams and even more various and sundry soda types. I brought in Italian Lemonade Soda for my contribution and I want to crack the bottle up and drink it RIGHT NOW.
But that might be too much sugar for this early, particularly because we have a bunch of people running forStudent Council "Culture Club" which is basically where we elect representatives of LuthorCorp to be the Fun Patrol and organize events. And it's a cut-throat competition involving bribery and smear campaigns. In the last three days there's been carts with Kool-Aid (which I did not drink), Cookies, More Cookies, Sour Twizzlers and Chocolate galore. Sadly what I really want is breakfast - where's my cart of oatmeal and oranges, hmm?
Voting for that is today, so the bribes are coming fast and furious. The irony is the rumor is that there are eight positions available and only nine people running. How harsh is THAT? But I know who I am NOT going to vote for - the guy that put a picture of his pouting 3 year old daughter up with slogans that say "Vote for Daddy or you have no soul" because 1) I have no soul and 2) he put them up (or had them put up) in the bathrooms INSIDE THE STALLS on the door so they STARE at me and it's very uncomfortable and awkward. NO VOTE FROM SWMBO.
It's been raining for days and days now and apparently it's supposed to continue for another 40 days and nights. I'm having swmkit build an ark.
LuthorCorp Thought for the Day: Standing in the middle of the road is dangerous, you get knocked down by traffic coming from both sides.
Um, thanks? Except unless I'm INVISIBLE, I don't think that's strictly true! Also, after you've been knocked down by the FIRST car from either side, are you really going to just keep getting back up and getting hit by cars *over and over* again? What is this, videogame standing?
CoWorker A says it's a rip-off of Karate Kid.
PS. Even though I am not planning on an actual switch, I hedge my bets so I have a Dreamwidth account now so if anybody else does ... you know the drill. Or we can make it up. It should go GO SWMBO GO GO GO
