Hi darlings!

Last week I was out-for-the-count - I came down with a sore throat on Tuesday and then on Wednesday I was basically *dead* - I stayed home from work and between the hours of 8 and 5, I slept 8 of them. I was up for 1. I was *hardcore*, baby! It helped and I somehow struggled through work the rest of the week, helped by naps after work every night and naps this weekend. I think maybe I'm ok today. I felt great yesterday but today I'm feeling iffy again. But i somehow think that might just be Monday doldrums and the secret guilt that I didn't dress up today even though we have clients in the office, oops!

Ohh! During my week of hibernation, I *did* manage to get some reading done - I read The Cellist of Sarajevo and The Guensey Literary and Potatoe Peel Pie Society (thanks for the recs, flist!) and I loved both of them in completely different ways. But I rec them both to anybody.

I've also watched a few of the new shows! I think I love The Unusuals - I watched two eps and I just - it fits me. Southland definitely has it's moments and I love the way it's shot - I am going to keep with it for a while. I hated and loathed the pilot of Harper's Island with a deep and abiding passion rivaled only by my feelings by, um, Point Pleasant. True story!

And I *forgot* about Kings switching so I haven't seen the most recent! Shame, swmbo, shame.

Sorry I have no entertaining stories to relate to you today - I am still struggling with the deep and abiding desire to SLEEP. But I can share with you the LuthorCorp Thought for the Day:

The best way to stand out from your crowd is to lead it, not follow it.

Which is contrary to my own opinion that the best way to stand out from the crowd is to not be a part of it. Crazy!

Happy Monday, kids. Stay strong, stay smart, stay sane. Well, maybe not the latter.
