LuthorCorp Thought for the Day: It is only possible to live happily ever after on a day to day basis.
Just get through today. Because tomorrow it's going to begin all over again.
Wow. LuthorCorp is really trying to bring out the pain, suffering and wanting to kill one's self! Not sure that hopeless defeat is really the attitude we should be cultivat..oh, who am I kidding, that's the sorta attitude LuthorCorp LOVES!
My vegetarian shepherd's pie was a *delicious success* so if anybody's curious, the substitution of kidney beans for ground beef or lamb makes delicious (and also cheap!).
I watched Kings last night. Oh holy moly, that show is PRETTY. I admit, I really hope that they didn't blow a huge budget on pilot production values and then the rest of it is just meh. Because it was so beautiful. And the acting is amazing and I am so much love. I will watch this show, oh yes. Thank goodness I have a flist to keep me in the belated-loop!
Other than that, I did next-to-nothing last night. The weather shot up into 80 degrees (CRAZY) yesterday, so I opened windows, relaxed on the sofa, watched, read and existed. And I obsessed about money and budgets and figuring out how to balance numbers. In my world, that's sometimes actually fun. It helps that I've been tightening the shoestrings lately (is that even the right metaphor? It feels wrong and yet it's the one I think of, but maybe that's just cause of shoestring budget?) and cutting back on indulgences - and bringing my lunch to work! Of course, in irony of irony, I tightened the shoestrings on my shoes last week and they snapped, so I also have to go to the store over lunch today and buy a new pair.
Happy Wednesday everybody! I've got impending thunderstorms coming my way, so I'm going to do my best to stay dry. I've got the sneaking suspicion my grass is gonna grow. The lawn is lurking. *shiver*
*love*
ETA: EEK! Bad html code makes LuthorCorp BOLDLY try to take over the world!
