I *am* wearing green, so there will be no pinching of swmbo, thank you very much!

I had yesterday off work (in the 'omg, I must use up any remaining pto before I lose it FOREVER' manner) and so I slept in and was lazy and had a new (free!) thermostat installed as part of my electric company's energy saver/optimizer program and read some and played WoW and was generally making fun of swmkit. He did NOT like having strange people (ie, the thermostat installer) in the house at all...the problem was, when she rang the doorbell, he took off for the basement.

So those were my (swmkit's) adventures yesterday!

And this morning I started off with making a shepherd's pie (vegetarian, the one I have mentioned, I used kidney beans, I hope it turns out!) for our belated Pi day at work. We've already had quiche and soda bread and then later there's my pie and then 3 dessert pies. Best day ever. AND it is St Patrick's Day, which also makes me happy!

Monotony is a RAPID AGER. The mind grows stale very quickly under a monotonous life, a humdrum existence. Lack of growth, of interest, of change is fatal! People who live the same kind of life year in and year out, age rapidly. The shriveling up process, the wrinkles, all appear in the mind first. Keep changing. Stay fresh & stay excited...

Um, HOLY LENGTHY thought! I think, correct me if I'm wrong, i think it's saying...monotony is like raisins. And we should be grapes. Or, even better, wine! Mmm, wine.
