I can say that in part because I had the most amazing night's sleep last night! I went to bed at 9:30. That's right, *nine-thirty*. That's just ridiculous. I made myself a beef stew/curry (it was supposed to be curry but then it shifted, in the way some things do, and it became more of a beef stew with curry flavors) and had that and a glass and a half of delicious red wine and a small slice of cappacino cake (that's right, it was Self-Indulgent Tuesday in Swmboland) and read and read and read.
And I read til I finished my book and then I was totally paralyzed with indecision - I could NOT figure out what to read next! People gave me some awesome recommendations a few weeks ago (and I checked out the first chapters of Swordspoint and The Name of the Wind, as per recs and they're going on my list to buy) but I have a virtual stack of books that's knee-high that I need to get to before I buy anything new. At least a *couple* of books worth of it anyway!
So I flipped through one and then another and I couldn't even decide on *genre*, much less specific book.
So at 9:30 I gave up and tucked myself into bed at a ridiculously early hour.
And then swmkit stole all the covers.
I woke up at 3 am *freezing* with nothing but a sheet covering me and I was totally baffled - because when i went to bed, there was a sheet and two blankets on me. And I couldn't FIND the covers anywhere. And then I discovered my darn cat had MADE OFF WITH THEM and was using them as a nest. What the hell? Since when do cats become cover-hogs?! Swmkit, you are fired. If you're cold at night, do not steal my blankets!! Just curl up and be a heating pad for me! It's only fair.
But I managed to wrestle one back from him and then went back to sleep and woke up still freezing (but with blanket) at 6:30 this morning because my god, it is COLD out there today, it's back at winter temps. But then I remembered I could turn a spaceheater on and I did and then I decided what book to read and I started it and then I went to work and now there is oatmeal and impending work.
Whew.

And here I thought the difference in winning and losing was NOT being the party to do the hour-long exposition/rant of evil victory! Learn something new every day!
