soooooo, what HAS swmbo been doing?
Well, first of all, I'm trying to finger out WHAT THE HECK swmkit got into to make him a superstinky cat last night. His fur just was like - it was like he'd been rolling around in rotten fish. Why, swmkit, why? What are you doing when I'm at Nephbo night?! It was just appalling. Stinkiest cat EVER.
And I've been weather yo-yo'ing, because this weekend it was SNOWING and icy and 9 degrees and today it's supposed to hit 79 degrees. I don't know what to wear!? Wool socks or sandals?! This is ridiculous! Fortunately, it's on the good side of ridiculous today. I need to figure out a way to get a sandwich for lunch and go to a park bench and read and read. That would be delightful.
Speaking of reading, that's the other thing I've been doing a lot of. A huge fantasy kick lately, and I've read most of Patricia Brigg's regular fantasy (as opposed to quasi-urban stuff) and really enjoyed it. And now I'm reading Jim Butcher's Codex of Alera series and while it's rough in spots, it's shaping up well. So that makes me happy and really makes me want to be outside reading. In the sunshine. And opening windows.
I'm feeling a little reclusive lately, too. Like I should be hermitting it up. If somebody could find me a nice sunny cave (with a cool space in back for wine and cheese), that'd be lovely. As long as there was just enough juice to keep my Kindle charged. And it didn't rain or snow or ice on my head. And I had a soft bed. I'm a demanding hermit. Most people just require more energy to deal with than I feel like I've had lately. Yet another reason spring can't arrive fast enough!
*squish*
Anybody been up to anything exciting in the last few weeks? Read any good books? I feel like I am very strongly going to want some good fantasy book recs very soon!
<3 <3 <3
PS. Anybody ever make a vegetarian shepherd's pie? I need to do that for St. Patrick's Day, for work. (I still love my meat, but one of my coworkers is a vegetarian!)
Oh yeah - LuthorCorp Thought for the Day: Stop look for a blessing and be a blessing.
That's exact quote, baby! It's like stop drop and roll, except without the chance of putting out fire!
