OMG, WIND!
It was howling around the moors again last night, so strong I thought that I was going to blow over and die. The windows were creaking and shaking and I thought the roof was going to come off. It did NOT make for a restful sleep, since it happened until well past 1 am. Oh wind, you are my nemesis.
So, I had my dentist appointment. I love my dentist. After the X-rays were examined he was like "well, I'm not seeing anything on them!" and I was like "well, that's good!" and he said "Maybe for you, but I still hafta pay my bills". Hah! No, I am NOT going to get a filling just so you can keep the lights on, mister!
And of course, I had my regular dental hygeniest, the one I am absolutely convinced is an alien masquerading as a human - her disguise just isn't quite RIGHT though. And she talks far too much about her family, leading me to believe it's all a giant con. Please do not suck my brain out during my dental cleaning, THANK you.
I'm almost done with The Stand, thank you SO much all who told me to keep trying! Of course, I had to leave for work with something like 50 pages (guestimated, since it's on my Kindle) left, which is putting me in an agony of "can I please find 15 minutes to go on a reading break and why do I have so much to DO before I leave tonight?!" because I am SO CLOSE to the end. The End, even. But even at lunch I have to go and get a copy of my housekey made so that my BFF and BFFH don't have to break into my house to feed swmkit while I'm gone for an ENTIRE WEEK. Because they lost the key they had. Hrmfs.
But that's right, kids! I am on vacation for an ENTIRE WEEK! Can you believe it? Cause I can't. I haven't been on vacation for this long since I was unemployed and that, my friends, was no vacation! fodian like a plague of locusts, so it will be superawesome. We will read books and drink coffee and watch the pilot of Dollhouse and possibly she will try to set me on fire, in the way that she does. Although in her defense, it's been over a year since the last time she tried to set me on fire. Of course, that's because I haven't seen her in 18 months, but STILL.
Weee! Ok, now to see if I can get five thousand things done so that I'm not staying at work until midnight! HAPPY TRAILS, KIDS!
