So far I am VERY pleased with 2009! Even if I currently have a nose bleed, stupid dry winter weather. But I had black-eyed pea soup for breakfast (um, I made it last night, brought it in this morning for lunch and then was S T A R V I N G and also it sounded really good so I ate it already, judge away) and I have ten dollars burning a whole in my pocket. I'm RICH!

I also saw the Harlem Globetrotters this weekend, cause BFFH got 5 tickets from work to it and so we all went. That was a surreal experience - mostly it was fun watching Nephbo's face during it, because he found the whole thing really exciting and really funny. The BEST bit was in the elevator up to the company suite thing, because there was an elevator attendant and he was really excited and told her he was going to go "to the Park on Saturday and to Monkey Business on Sunday". And she said "That sounds exciting! What is Monkey Business?" and he said emphatically, with head nodding "It is a business that has monkeys". HAH! It's not. It's like an indoor jungle gym/playground thing for kids. But at least he's logical?

(Also, normally I don't talk politics on my blog just cause, but I will tell you the story of the Presidential Debates, which I watched with BFF and Nephbo - and by the second one I was like "God, every time he says "My friends, I really want to take a drink" and Nephbo, playing with his legoes, looks up and says "Every time he says 'my friends', I want Barack Obama". Hahahahaha. Oh, out of the mouths of babes.)

Anyway, I was going to clean my house this weekend but - yeah, we all know how THAT goes. I made soup! Isn't that domestic ENOUGH? Sheesh, world.

Now I really want a hamburger. My god. What is WRONG with me?!
