Ok, so - what is new with me?

Well, I gave blood on Monday. ( Cut for those who go all squeamish at talk of you know, giving blood )

BOOKS!

So, my book-poll filler-outters rock and I heart you guys. I read The Secret Scripture by Sebastian Barry out of my 'new' list and it was SO GOOD it made me happy, I heart it and cuddle it close. Definitely three mutant thumbs up. Then I read When We Were Orphans and it was really good, compelling - not as good as some of his other works, but definitely readable. I felt like there should have been MORE to the story though, I wanted, I don't know, a superhero or something. I can give a more coherent explanation if anybody cares to listen to me babble more.
