Canada* will never defeat me AGAIN.

Or at least not for a couple of weeks. I stopped by Aldi's last night and did this thing known as STOCKING UP on portable breakfast foods. There are granola bars, oatmeal, cereal bars, dried cherries ...

I am set.

Last night was full-on apocalypse time again! Thunderstorms and lightning and this morning half the parking lot at work was under a couple inches of water. And me in SANDALS!

Fortunately, I was so excited about my portable breakfast options that I left the house early and even had enough time to stop off for gas (FREAKING EXPENSIVE) on the way and *still* get a good parking spot.

Good being defined as 'not covered in water.'


Ok, the LuthorCorp Thoughts for the Day are getting OUT OF HAND. I know you've missed them greatly - but you know how they used to often be short, snappy and totally confusing?

Well, they are getting LONGER AND LONGER. For example, today:

Also? Apparently LuthorCorp doesn't believe in MEMORIES. Or, you know, HOPE.

Or as Coworker A said "It's hard to be happy every day when you know one of those things is waiting for you in your inbox".


On the other hand, they're providing us pizza and beer for lunch. I'd be happy about that, except LuthorCOrp already told me that's a lie.

WILL they close the office early today? STAY TUNED!! And watch out for flames from the sky!

*I still love Canadians. Also, I think Canada did it for my own good, because the stuff I bought is healthier and ultimately cheaper than vending machine and also does not require scrounging on the floor of my car. Thanks, Canada!
