I keep getting email reminders for the last week or so that are like "urgent! alert! file your taxes or SUFFER!'
And every time they make me VERY nervous, even though I already did my taxes (SUCKY taxes, the state took all my federal refund and then some, the bastards, I don't wanna talk about it) because I'm like "aaaahhhh, I don't wanna suffer!!" and then I have to remind myself that oh, yeah. I already did.
SPEAKING of suffering - food poisoning, thursday night last week. Lateish Thursday I felt like my innards were being twisted and used by sailors to practice their knots. Lame. I tucked myself into bed and curled into a ball and felt godawful but hoped it would be better by morning.
It was NOT. It was still searing pain and agony. But you know, I had taken Monday off work for Colorado and I'm off work *this* Thursday and Friday because I have a friend coming in from out of town and that meant that I *must* soldier on. So I went into work. But I was wan and apparently really off-kilter. Coworker S kept looking at me and going "go home. Go home. GO HOME". And I listened to her finally and at around 11 I went to my boss and said "I think I need to go home" and she said "go home". So ... I went home. Nobody can say swmbo doesn't listen!
And then I slept. For five and a half hours I slept. And still felt pretty off the rest of the night and saturday.
What swmbo did this weekend: Rested. Watched lots of Band of Brothers. Read. Played *minimal* WoW!
What swmbo did not do this weekend: Clean.
AKA, status quo, baby! Mombo is in despair somewhere. Wondering where she - always the perfect house - went wrong. Right there with you, Mombo! I think maybe it was dropping me on my head when I was a baby.
Anyway, I have much much work to do at work because of the whole having a FOUR DAY WEEKEND OF JOY. Four days. You know what you can do in FOUR days? Make somebody watch lots of Buffy for the First Time, that's what.

Guess what? It is like SPRING out. Spring! With the birds and the flowers and the grass and the...mowing. Ouch. But - birds and flowers!
