Hey, kids, I know that I have been the worst LJ slacker lately and just NOT HERE. And of course, out of sight is out of mind - do any of you even remember who I am? Yoo hoo! HI!

I am SWAMPED at work. Knee deep in murk and sludge and in desparate need of a shower.

Mostly, this is a good thing - we're doing some department restructuring that I'm really excited about and launching some new projects I'm going to be involved in but it means time is just not my friend. C'mon, superpowers, KICK IN! Plus I am taking next Friday off since I'll be at stalking VK at Slayercon with my 'Kita and Fod' and that means a lot to get ahead on. PLUS one of my other coworkers is going to be out for two whole weeks starting mid-next week, sooo...

I hope the people at WriterCon are having a blast and remembering they're supposed to drink a margarita in my name. A good one - no darn pre-mixed crap, I want a REAL one. If they won't give you a real one, drink something vodka-y. I can provide you with a list :p I am not particular at the moment. Well, I am always particular but sometimes I'm less particular than others.

It has been BARBARICALLY hot out, a circumstance I know many of you change. But this morning thunderstorms finally/finally/finally broke and it's actually a liveable temperature. But now it's raining and thundering and APOCALYPTIC, BABY!

I like it.

Anyway, SORRY! for my unintentional absence and I'll be in and out and about today and I am *trying* to at least read my flist but not doing a great job at that either, since I get to that overload point where I have to catch up on fifty thousand entries at once and might miss stuff.

But stay safe and have fun and cling to the fact that it's the weekend and that for some of you, the fun has already begun!

PS. Also I got accepted into the major Raiding Guild I was apping to which I have only to say, YAY!
