HAPPY BIRTHDAY,
alg!! I hope that your day is fabulous, fantastic and fun. I send hugs and vegan cake and lots and lots of coffee your way!
Oh man!
*facepalm*
It doesn't feel like a Wednesday after a bonus day off, it feels like a Monday after a weekend that FLEW BY.
It probably didn't help that, um, I lay down for a short nap at 11:30 yesterday and didn't get up until after 3. Which is - absurd. There is no other word for it. Absurd and yet, man, sleep rocks. There should be naps EVERY DAY.
Nephbo's regular sitter is on vacation and another friend is watching him - but instead of just dropping him off next door, it means actually driving him over. So this morning we packed a very grumpy nephbo into the car (the firework noise kept him up late last night and he didn't sleep) and we're going along and BFF and I are making smart-ass comments back and forth to each other. And then she says "you know, you have a bad attitude,
swmbo' and so I turn around to face the back seat and look at nephbo and say "Nephbo? Do I have a bad attitude?"
And he looks at me very consideringly and then says in a clear voice, "No."
That's right, Nephbo! YOU TELL YOUR MOM! Who tried to recover with "Oh, baby, you dont have to lie to make her feel better."
But I do believe that victory on that exchange was MINE.
So now I have to see if it's even POSSIBLE to get through today with some degree of alertness. My current projection is NO.
Have fun, kids!
