Happy belated birthday, [livejournal.com profile] poshcat, darling! I hope it was fabulous and amazing and I hug you tight and give you the birthday crown for the extra day!

NO MORE WEEKEND BIRTHDAYS, FLIST!!

Now, in my world:

Trauma!!

I've been reading Dorothy L Sayers, Sayers, but cut for length and not spoilers )

On Thursday, [livejournal.com profile] wolfing rec'ed a Supernatural vid - Invincible - by [livejournal.com profile] oliva_notebook. I *love* that song, since, oh, junior high or so when I used to listen to it ALL the time. Because I was so oppressed and such a rebel, you know how that is. I would shout out the lyrics and feel very hardcore. Don't judge me.

Anyway, for *years* now I have been wanting a vid to it - Buffy or Angel were always in my head because, you know, my heart is always there. But this - this delivers everything and is amazing and if you love the show or even if you have only seen a few episodes but love the song, you should watch it. Do it, do it, do it.

Easter and other Episodes! ).

I also mowed my lawn! Both parts! I have a blister on my thumb from the lawn mower but other than that, I'm golden. I'm no longer the bad neighbor! For at least a week, I am good!

In addition to not reading Dorothy L Sayers and cooking and falling and mowing the lawn, I watched a lot of random episodes of different shows - Commander-in-Chief, The Office, Black Books, Conviction, Evidence, How I Met Your Mother.

Of all of those, the one I am going to talk about is The Evidence - episode 4

Spoilers for Evidence, although I think only Estrella30 and I watch it! )

I wanted to say something more about something, but I can't remember what it was! And it's already really late!! But, um, coffee good, swmbo GREAT, life excellent. Oh, I'm pretty sure that my something else was about D&DO so maybe you're all lucking out, anyway.

HI KIDS!

A HUGE project that I am working on that had a due date of June 1st, 2006 has now been postponed until June 1st of 2007, due to budget considerations. SCORE! Because it was going to KILL me to get it all done.

Anyway, it was about all I was planning on working on today, and then I got the news and that meant reshuffling some stuff and it also meant extra free time for today. This will vanish amazingly fast as people realize that the project is gone and everything they were holding off on giving us will now come down upon our heads but for today, it is all golden.

What does this mean to YOU? It means a really, really long post. I get really excited each year about upcoming television and pilots and what might make it on the air and what might not. And those of you who were here last year know that I did some posts around May, when things were fairly well decided - even though a lot still didn't come to pass, because the television industry is evil. This time is even EARLIER, but I was bored. So I went through the list of ABC pilots that were ordered (One hour dramas only, no sitcoms) and looked at the press releases (conveniently gathered by thefutoncritic) and talked about the ones that have been ordered to pilot. Most of them won't make it on the air. To which, in many cases, I say "THANK GOD!".

If I am bored again tomorrow, I'll do CBS, but for now:The dramatic state of ABC, 2006 )

And then we have some untitled projects and I don't read about things that don't have titles. So there we have it. The One Hour Dramas from ABC!

And now the exciting questions: What will make it to pilot? What will I actually watch? Will any of these shows make me eat my words? Stay tuned!
