I don't have an interest-bearing checking account, just a regular one. I mean, I go into the list of features of my checking account and it's all 'blah blah blah, so many rebates of atm fees/month, web bill pay, no monthly service fees, unlimited check writing privileges (that's my favorite, it's the funniest 'benefit' ever. Thanks for letting me have access to my MONEY!). Anyway, nowhere does it say that there's interest on the account.

Except today, I went to check it (I usually check it online a couple times a week, sometimes daily, I like to see what cleared) and I notice that I have, um - 3 cents of interest deposited into my account. Score, right? Except...right above that is 1 cent DEDUCTED from my account, for tax withheld.

Thanks. THANKS FOR TAXING MY THREE CENTS, WORLD! It's just some giant tease, that's what it is.

Still, that's two more cents than I had yesterday, which is pretty much the world's way of telling me *something*. Possibly that it's mocking me.

After BFF got home and I went home, I read for a little bit, made myself some dinner, then logged on to play. Don't worry, this isn't another story about how awesome D&DO is, even though it is awesome.
