Bad news: I'm starving. AGAIN!

Good news: I just finished making cinnamon toast and I have hot coffee.

Bad news: Nephbo's daysitter's daughters are sick

Good news: I have volunteered to babysit nephbo tomorrow, if it's needed

Bad news: We have clients in the office

Bad news 2.0: This means I have to wear a suit

There is no good news there.

Worst news: My garage door is - I am worried, lets just say that, ok? It is cranky and doesn't want to close right and this morning I had to close it by hand and I don't think it's the opener, I think it's the entire door, the slats are trying to pull apart and I do NOT want to have to replace a garage door and yet it seems inevitable.

Listen world, swmbo has LIMITED FUNDS. I do not understand why that concept is too hard for you to understand. Spare money (hah!) is supposed to go for coffee and dvds and trips, not air conditioners and garage doors and repairs!

Now that we have that straight...

[livejournal.com profile] ros_fod keeps writing ficlets that make my toes wriggle. ALso! Last week, [livejournal.com profile] ingrid_m wrote Olympic RPS, for Johnny Weir/Evan Lysacek - Soaring - and it ALSO made my toes wriggle.

I talk about GA, mostly George, and it's a bit ranty and not even coherent in parts, but I have actual work to do as well )

Now I need more coffee, mmm, coffee.

Oh oh oh!

Ok, I gave in and decided to participate in The Great Write Meme

I was of mixed feelings because a lot of what I've written (which isn't a TON) is older and if I wrote it now, it'd be very different. But since I'm trying to get the mind juices rolling again, thinking about fic is a good way to do it, so there you go :)

For those who don't know what the meme is:

The writer signs up with their name and a link to their fics on [livejournal.com profile] findmeakor's LJ. People read the fics wherever they are, then respond anonymously to the comment with their feedback/critique - what worked, what didn't, it's informal and anonymous so you can do as little or as much as is comfortable.

But if you're more comfortable responding back (anonymously or not in that case) to this post, that's cool, too. I always welcome thoughtful thoughts. As a side note, ages and ages ago - almost two years ago to the day - I wrote comments about how I felt about feedback and critiques, and those can be found here if anyone is interested.

Let the games begin!
