HAPPY HAPPY HAPPIEST OF BIRTHDAYS TO
kita0610!! Fod is supposed to deliver hugs and kisses from me, see that she does! And see me all overcome with facepalmings for not remembering in time to tuck more than that into the package.
So instead I am giving you the gift of 24 perfect glorious hours, to be distributed as you wish, surrounded by people you love. And also cake. You are superfabulous and I still believe in you! *squish* On International Kita day I spent words and words talking about how fabulous you are and they still hold true - you're one of the gems of this world.
WHILE I'm updating my LJ, I also have a cat sitting on my neck. Well, he's sitting on the back of my chair but completely pressed against my neck so I'm scared to move my head, he's sort of...sideways. It's awkward. Bad swmkit, bad. Anyway, my computer is running and functioning and that makes me sooo happy. I spent all day catching up on television shows that I'd missed eps on and gotten behind or that conflict with other shows and it is just...just glorious. ANd soon I will be catching up on fic - in particular because my darling
violetsmiles sent a tons of recs my way - it was like her birthday was MY birthday! And I just want to say right now that Vi is the bestest - not just for that, but also because she's possibly the first friend I made on LJ and she's always encouraged me and without her - well, I would probably have never written ANY fic at all and I quite possibly wouldn't be involved in fandom to this day. I luff you, Vi.
Besides the computer getting fixed on Saturday (and me having a nervous meltdown in the meantime that I'd find out something else was broken *cough* and actually coming to terms with the worst before it didn't even happen) and doing some reading, it's been a busy time. They do this thing here on the first friday of the month where they open up a bunch of art galleries downtown, like forty or fifty of them, and people walk around and tour them and trolleys actually take you betwen different sections of downtown - and a friend of mine was having a birthday and that's what she wanted to do so we did, about ten or twelve of us. It was so much, some really amazing pieces I loved and some things I hated and tons of variety - we only visited about five galleries or so (all of them would be impossible) and then went to dinner.
THen yesterday we know about and now today I have to do a Superbowl party in about, oh, two hours. And bring cocktail wieniers, that's my job. And I'm STARVING right now, but I'm trying not to eat and spoil my appetite for all the snack food we'll have. Man, life is tough. Also, I kinda can NOT watch football so mostly I'll be spending the game time playing with Nephbo and watching the commericials.
Oh, and on Friday I had to go get my tire fixed! There was a SCREW in it! And I don't know which jokes are worst - the "I hear you had a loose screw" and the "Sounds like you were screwed" or the...well, we won't go there, ok? You get the picture.
May your Sunday be amazing and wonderful!
