It feels like Friday. And yet, according to everything else around me, it is Thursday. Now, Thursdays can good days in and of themselves - and if it IS Thursday, I'm supposed to go to some wine tasting tonight, which will be fun (you try large samples of 5 wines and then you get a full glass of the one you decide you like best. Plus nibblings). But still, it does not compare to the glory of Fridays.
Still.
Yesterday swmboss 2.0 I went to lunch and ended spending most of the time talking about Sean Astin. SEAN ASTIN! What is wrong with this picture? I told him about the There and Back Again book (which I've read, thanks to my Fod!). He'd seen the actors commentary on Goonies and apparently it's done where you can, at least at times, see the actors sitting at the table with their headsets gone. And that all the other actors kept interrupting Sean when he was talking and at one point they break away from showing the actors and when they come back, Sean's not there. And he doesn't show back up and they never explain it.
For some reason this just cracks me up sooo much. And now I want to rent the dvd and watch the commentary.
It is so incredibly beautiful outside that all I want to do is take a book out and read. Or at least open the windows. Except I have no windows to open at work. TRAGEDY!
oh oh oh oh! You guys remember my car accident this summer, when I was rear-ended, yes? And yesterday I mentioned taking it into the shop for thumpings and other weird noises? Yeah, apparently the muffler and exhaust pipe are bent and that's what's causing it and it all needs to be replaced. And the insurance company, of course, was trying to weasel out of it (Maybe she backed into something!) even though there's NO DAMAGE TO ANYTHING ELSE and fortunately my mechanic is like, um, no- this was clearly caused by the accident and we didn't catch it at first. So he said he'd bully them about paying and as soon as the parts come in they'll take care of it. But still, my car is SO TAINTED! *scowls*
swmkit is STILL waking me up every morning far earlier than my alarm, by headbutting my back until I let him under the covers. And then he purrs too loudly for me to fall back asleep. WHY are you so difficult, swmkit? WHY must you insist on going under the covers? Can't you just curl up with me OUTSIDE of them? *facepalm*
Of course it's all worth it when he is lounging at the top of the stairs looking all smug and stretches and falls off. HAH!
That's my oh so exciting update for the day. I'm sure you've all been on the edge of your seats!
PS. I'm HUNGRY! Please somebody get me a bagel. Or an orange cranberry muffin with a cup of steaming hot coffee!
