Happy NOVEMBER!!
I'm rooting for November this year. GO NOVEMBER! Be a great month! Don't go dreary and full of howling winds on me! Stay exactly like today - bright and crisp, with leaves flaming different colors and a clear blue sky. Do it!
Although I was FREEZING when I woke up. Which is weird, because the house was the normal temperature, but I was a block of ice underneath the covers. I tried sitting in front of the space heater with hot coffee, I tried everything and I was all ice. I took my shower and the water was great but it was like I was still cold everywhere the water wasn't hitting and when I was done I couldn't face getting out.
So I sat down in the tub and filled it with hot water and soaked for ten minutes, until the steam was rising all over and finally, finally I was warm all the way through. God, that was lovely. And I could face the rest of the day. So it's a good thing I got up early and that I still have no sense of time.
I had only NINE trick or treaters last night, despite the fact that I'm a premium all-chocolate house. Nine. Plus three teenagers trick or treating for cans. But Nephbo came over and was a lion. He wasn't really interested in the chocolate but he had a VERY good time pressing my door bell, listening to the chimes (The previous owner of my house installed a doorbell that chimes) and looking about proudly and clapping. That, alone, made the night for him.
Other than that I watched an ep of One Tree Hill, Season 2 and read a little bit and mostly made it an earlyish night. I think that will happen for a while, until my body readjusts to the time change.
But I am feeling peppy and optimistic about November! THIS YEAR IT WILL BE A TRIUMPH!!
