Today started off on a sour note. When I poured the cream (well, ok, I use evaporated milk) into my coffee, it didn't swirl in nicely, changing the color of the coffee to a dark caramel. No, instead it granulated somehow, looking like little beads dancing around.
Gah.
So of course I dumped it out and replaced it with straight black coffee, but already we're having some ISSUES over the world.
Plus not only do we have a meeting today with clients, I have to actually ATTEND the meeting with clients (what are they thinking?!) and thus I'm all suited up and stuff.
It's also raining cats and dogs and I had trouble finding black socks and I gave in last night and agreed to go to St Louis for the daughter-of-my-parents-best-friends-when-I-was-growing-up's wedding, despite the fact that I haven't seen her in ten or more years.
On the other hand, it's payday. AND they brought in donuts! AND it's Friday and I get lunch.
And I gave in and bought myself an iPod last night. SHUDDUP! I have a plan. It's for listening to on this trip and evaluating and I am going to be VERY critical and if I do not love it within 30 days, I'm returning it. Plus I'm keeping my receipt and stalking coupons as well.
Oh! And FOUR of my coworkers forwarded me the article about the man who died after playing video games for 50 hours straight.
SHUT UP I HATE THEM ALL!
On the other hand, Coworker N just said "this is your world, the rest of us are just living in it". So in the end, I WIN!
