THAT's RIGHT! I HAVE POWER!

1/12th of the power, anyway. The case is civil and MIGHT wind up today but they said it'd probably stretch slightly into tomorrow. It is a theortically incredibly boring case except I totally have STORIES and I can not wait to share them with you. Lots and lots of stories. Ok, five or so. But it's only the first day! STOP DOUBTING ME, annakovsky. Bitch.

Also, I keep waiting for bear to walk into the courtroom and she hasn't yet. What's with that, bear? I'm an official cog in the legal wheel now, what are you? Besides a SLACKER! Years and years of legal school, my hinder - it took me only a few hours in a chair.

Um, as I listen to the case, there are times when I want to point out to one of the lawyers that his line of questioning is actually WEAKENING his case at the moment. Also I want to pull the plaintiff aside during cross and hiss "You're being a hostile witness. Stop it. It makes you look like you have something to hide.". Oh yes, I totally want to run the whole courtroom. But I am good and merely sitting there, engrossed, with biting commentary running through my head at a gazillion miles an hour.

Also, violetsmiles had an interesting post about female/female friendships in the media and in fic. I responded there but I'm going to sum up/add more here - in the 15 minutes before I have to get ready to leave the house! You get what I can type. LUCKY YOU!
