It never dipped below 80 in my house last night, and at times was hotter. Matters were not helped by the fact that kitten would insist on curling himself up on top of me, radiating heat at me. Plus the purring, which I'm sensitive enough to, as is. So I tossed and turned...except without actual tossing and turning, more plucking kitten off and moving him away only to have him show right back up, until about a quarter until 5. Then I gave up, got up, and went downstairs. bear, I bet you didn't know when you made this icon how much USE it would get!

Were it actually was marginally cooler. And I played WoW for about an hour or so, drinking coffee and trying to wake up. I moved into a new area, a gorgeously creepy area with hordes of undead roaming about and poor villagers practically trapped in their houses, begging for help. It was good.

And...brace yourselves...my character on WoW got a parrot! Weee! I went to Botany Bay (rrawwr, pirates!) and while I'm too low level to play there yet, I could shop there - and there was a shopkeeper who sold "Pirate Things" and one was a cage with a parrot! And when you right click on the cage, a little parrot comes out and follows you everywhere!

Best. Game. Ever.

All my guildmates are making fun of me, but half of them know me in rl, sooo...I am resigned.

The AC people are coming at around noon today. It must, must, MUST be fixed and fixed cheaply, because I need a break.

Also, do you guys know how HARD it is to clean for your mother's visit when the house is 84 degrees? Really, really hard. I did vacuum! So that's major points. I did not dusting or window washing or mopping of the kitchen or scrubbing of the kitchen counters or bathroom floors or anything else. IT WAS TOO HOT!! *sobs*

mombo will probably take back 3 dozen bottles of the wine *sniff*

I just burned my tongue on my coffee. Hee. OOOPS. Still, it's good coffee and thus all is forgiven. AND! Yesterday was one of the best recesses ever - we played Family Feud! We used the main conference room, which is all high tech and stuff and Coworker D had downloaded this program and my team won cause we kick kovsky. Oh yeah, baby. Family Feud makes an awesome recess, I highly recommend it.

Thank god it's Friday. Cross your fingers on my AC, please, for the love of swm! And have a super fantabulous weekend :)

My AC is fixed! Apparently *boggle* somebody (I am guessing the previous owner, who was a do-it-yourself'er who didn't alway do it RIGHT) installed the fan backwards. So air wasn't blowing across the coils and cooling them and when it would get too hot it would shut down. Or something. And since it was low on Freon, it was happening more and more.

The upshot is - the AC works now, is supposed to KEEP working, and will hopefully be cool when I get home, yay!

swmkit is not happy with me, he didn't like having to stay shut up in the spare bedroom while the repairman (CLYDE!) was mucking about (I did NOT want a repeat of TRAPPED! THE SWMKIT STORY. But AC!

Mombo called to say she arrived safely but couldn't get my front storm door to open (something went weird on it last week, but in light of all the other stuff happening I didn't actually mention it! but she fortunately got in through the back.

She also brought fifty-one bottles of wine.

You're all invited.

AND! kita0610 and witling's recent posts are just filling me with the love. Because I adore them and I adore the ladies they adore and it's just - this wonderful circle of happiness in my head and I can't stop smiling - last night I nearly cried and today I am just giddy with it all. SO much love, people, so much love for such amazing, fantastic people. I am sappy with it.

However, in a dose of 'omg, what are they doing' - the existence of kovskys_swmbo is WRONG! When did this become about mocking me? THIS IS ABOUT MOCKING KOVSKY!! Hrmfs.

Between kovskys_swmbo, swmbos_kovsky and the strange creature known as madpotess, I can't even keep track!
