La di dah, la di day, I love Firefox, I adore Firefox, except when it totally does this thing, randomnly crash for no reason. Hrmfs. But that! Is not the point of today's post - except for the fact that I'm a window person, I tend to open up all these things that I was planning on reading at some point and then, um, leave them. Oops. *facepalm* Hee. *waves goodbye to fanfic and posts she might never find again*

Ohh! We got the aquarium at work today! I am so excited, it's awesome. Swmboss 2.0 brought in ruins to go at the bottom and it's filled with water and now we have to wait a month to get the fish. A MONTH!! The pet store originally told us that it should be fine in 2 weeks, but Aquarium Man said that if we did it then, quite a few fish wouldn't make it, and that a month would be a lot better. Except for the fact that, omg, me, waiting? That's insane! I think I want a bottom feeder for my fish, though. And his name will be Plucky. Ohh! And we got an email saying that when the tanks is ready, we're totally taking a field trip to the pet store to pick out fish together. It's so dorky and cheesy and I LOVE it. Except for the waiting part. Anyway, it arrived and was assembled and it was funny - half a dozen of us were standing around staring it and talking and staring at it and people were like 'wow, this is you guys now, what are you going to do when there are actually FISH in it?'.

More talk about work! Which is NOT a kindergarten or a retirement center, no matter what certain people claim )

Obviously I didn't have time to do my character post. It's on my list of things to do! And I really want to, but it's a hectic world. And I had to spend all evening yesterday poking at my computer and defragging it and running tools because it's just - well, it's old and a pain and it is ready to shuffle off this mortal coil, but I'm making it cling to life for a while longer. *pats computer* But it's still on the agenda, swear!

Also, I'm devouring Stargage fic happily. [livejournal.com profile] elz linked me to a rec page and I'm reading some of what [livejournal.com profile] eliade recced but I can already feel the craving for new fic starting to stir. LONG fic. Long long long, give me long! *breathes* I can do this. I can actually SORT THROUGH things on my own, right? Right? Somebody hold my hand.

Must hurry and finish throwing myself together, must be on time for work, love you guys, catchalater alligator and have a fantastic day!! I WILL WIN BINGO!

I MUST SEE THIS!!!

Slag Heap

From the site:

Set in Manchester, England, Slag Heap is a chronicle of teenage prostitutes, born from Thatcher's politics in the aftermath of Britain's Industrial Revolution. These adolescents live in a world where the buying and selling of humanity has become the primary industry.

Slag Heap, directed by Michael Morris, will officially open at Cherry Lane Theatre on April 13. In addition to Kartheiser, the cast includes Brienin Bryant, Alexander Flores, Polly Lee, Maggie Moore and Janelle Anne Robinson.

And it is starring Vincent Kartheiser.

I need to go to New York.

Thanks [livejournal.com profile] cornerofmadness for pointing that out in [livejournal.com profile] a_better_lie

Yeah. There goes any chance of brain function in swmbo's world today.
