The drawback to going to bed early last night (as in, my lights were out before 9 folks - before 9! And I had a fever, again. I blame Coworker B) is that when I wake up, I have to hit skip-80 on my flist and still don't have time to read all of the threads on posts. If it weren't for the fact that Mr Larry's life depends on my coming into work today to feed him, I'd think of calling in sick! Think of it, but probably not do it - because I literally made myself a ToDo post it note yesterday for everything I have to do today. And that means it's serious, folks, cause I am so not a list maker, I'm a hold-it-in-my-head maker. Um. Yeah. Pretend that makes sense.
Speaking of Mr. Larry, he was indeed still alive at the end of the day yesterday, although I did freak out (minorly) once when I couldn't see him in the bowl. However, that doesn't mean yesterday was smooth sailing, as evidenced by what happened when I arrived at work yesterday.
( Cut for abuse of swmbo at work )
I don't have time for a real lengthy response to the recent set of posts, but what I DO have time to do is present you with lots of lovely links by people who address this issue with more care and time than I have.
( Discussions of fic and characters and all sorts of things - but mostly from others )
Sadly, even when I'm brief, I'm windy. You guys ever notice that? *cough* CRAP I'm gonna be late for work again, aren't I? *cough* Good thing
scarlettgirl assures me that if your boss isn't there, late doesn't happen. It's totally a tree in the forest man, a tree in the forest.
Ok, one last thing and this is a request for eeeep, help. I have to have a motivational (possibly funny!) or thoughtful quote by the end of COB, because it's my week next week to have one stuck on everybody's chair. And I totally forgot until I got an email about it yesterday so I just have a handful and it's not enough and none of them are perfect and I want perfect!!
And being lazy, they wer all from the same database:
( Quotes so far, but I don't want any of them, although if nobody on here has a better one, I'll prlly go with the first )
SO, bring out your quotes! Save your swmbo! And have a fantastic day!
