Saturdays are glorious, glorious things!

I managed to survive yesterday, somehow! The morning was actually fairly easy, as I spent most of it in meetings. That was fun - swmboss wrote notes to me during the conference call. And I went home over lunch and had homemade chili and caught up on LJ and it was heaven, heaven. Plus it was incredibly gorgeous outside. To the point where I pretty much made up any excuse I could to have to run across to Proofing in the other building, just so that I could go outside.

Also, I had chocolate covered coffee beans. Which, ok, two great things DO taste great together. I love those little suckers. I gave them away to people at work and of course some people said they were the weirdest and most horrible thing ever and others ate them happily. But Coworker A (formerly S, but I've renamed him because we need a Coworker A) told me I wasn't allowed to eat any more because if I did I'd start laughing so hard I'd choke and he said "And I don't know CPR." And then Coworker N piped up with "I do, but I'm not using it on any of you!!". Hah!! Can you feel the love?! And then CoWorker A said the best he could do was punch me in the chest, but he didn't know if that'd help. And I'd like to point out that since I was NOT choking at the time, it pretty much just shows that there is NO LOVE for swmbo.

Ohh! Except that I got a mixed cd in the mail from crimsonlady!! Thanks, KattyKat, I can't wait to listen to it! Or rather I can wait, because I am gonna bring it to work and listen to it Monday, but I'm very excited about it in the meantime!

Last night I finished up the disk of West Wing I have and during the "17 people" episode most of me is very angry with Bartlet. I have more issues with him than any other character. Grr. But I move on! And really, really hope that the last disk is in the mail today. And/or One Tree Hill.

Anyway, I was sad to see that today isn't nearly as gorgeous as yesterday - it's cool and damp and a bit springlike, but very overcast and we're supposed to have showers later. I had two glorious cups of coffee and pancakes and bacon for breakfast and now my house smells like pancakes and bacon. And I'm going to take a long hot bath right now and finish the book that I'm reading and later on I'll be online a bit, but I am thinking this is exactly the sort of weekend that is meant to be lazy and I'm happy for it. And it's my best-friend-from-3rd-grade-through-high-school's birthday today, so later on I'm gonna give her a call.
