I know, you guys all think I'm pulling your leg there but no, really! This is going to be short. And stuff. swmboss has vacation (ENVY!) which means I get to be extra busy. And I might have to sit in with sales on a client call. Talking with people is BAD! I can't believe I might have to talk wtih people!!! Hrmfs. With luck they might postpone the call until tomorrow or Friday. We shall SEE.

People. Hrmfs.

Actually, the bad thing is that if swmboss wasn't out today, I'd think about calling in sick. But I don't have a fever, which is my general personal rule of thumb on when I allow myself to use up a VALUABLE sick day. My stomach has been twisty and turny and unhappy for now three days, though. I'm probably dying of some slow, insidious poison. If I had a cat, I'd be asking you guys to feed my cat. Yesterday they closed the office early because of the SNOW! - It started around noon and kept snowing and I'm not sure exactly how much we got, but it was probably about 6 inches or something. And I went home and rolled into bed before 6 and then rolled out about 7:30 and still felt dizzy and light headed. So I went back to bed at 9ish. And thought I was fine this morning until I moved. See, if I didn't move I wouldn't have these problems.

Still, I'm feeling awesome from, um, the midribcage up. So we can just cut me off about there and things will be grand. Yesterday the roads were really, really bad. Not only did I see jeeps and SUVs fishtailing all over the place (just them. The people who drive them (here) think that driving a jeep or SUV is like a magic cure-all for weather conditions and you can ignore snow and sleet and really slick and slushy roads. I got freaked out a couple of times by their total lack of control and sooo knew I was gonna die. DIdn't, obviously. Unless I'm typing this from beyond the grave! You don't know!

The weirdest sight was a van that had plowed right off the street, over a sidewalk and through somebody's privacy-fenced backyard. Nobody looked to be hurt, but I can't imagine the phone call "Honey, we seem to have a van in our backyard...".

ALthough we were let go early, we still did our weekly department meeting and this was the Big Meeting about Motivation and Fish!. We watched a film. Then we went back to our conference room and talked about "how can we make our work environment more fun and stimulating?". So far we're considering recess, which is definitely not going to help Kovsky's opinion that I work at a kindergarten. I mentioned that to Bear and she goes "Wait, you're SERIOUS about recess?!" Well, I'm not but our VP might be. We're also considering Friday Lunch movies, guess the gummy fish in a jar (winner gets a fish!). I would be more receptive to this idea if Coworker S hadn't followed it up with "And then we can make bets on how long before swmbo kills the fish! And which dies first!". We're also going to paint a mural on our back wall.

Then they brought around candy in the red wagons again and then they sent us home. Clearly they have very diabolical things in mind coming soon. Also, hurrah, our entire department review results were giving back and we are so the most awesome department in the company. Sales says of all the departments, we communicate best. Naturally. WE LIKE THE TALKING! Also apparently about 2-3 years ago, we really sucked at it. We had crappy scores across the board and now we have amazing scores and therefore we deserve...candy. Yeah, see? Things come full circle.

I am not responsible for any fish deaths over the next few months. Nor, if it comes to that, for my own. *grumbles* Somebody fix me, please? Tea all day yesterday wasn't good enough.
