I start this off with a - HAPPY BIRTHDAY, jslayeruk!!! I hope it's as fantastic as you are! Or was as fantastic, since the whole 'living in another timezone thing' means that it's already late afternoon!

My god - it's a Saturday and I can already feel that this is gonna be a loooong entry! A cut-tagging entry, even, and we know how often that happens!

I want to say a quick (ok, fine, long) HI to the dozen or so people who friended me the last couple of days. You poor, misguided souls! If you friended me for the raccoon porn, I have to say - to date the raccoon pr0n was not a regular feature in my LJ and it's only recently that my flist decided to torment me with PORN specifically, instead of just raccoons (and, thanks guys, thanks a hell of a lot - and I hope you can FEEL the bitter sting of sarcasm in that). Just letting you know - it's NOT All Raccoon Porn, All the Time in my LJ- a fact for which I am devoutly grateful - and NO, Kovsky, I will not change my LJ title to that. Anyway, I think my userinfo pretty much sums up what you get when you're crazy foolish brave enough to friend me, so you have only yourself to blame! Unless somebody told you to friend me, in which case you can go fight with them. Just don't blame ME!

Anyway, that's the back story (HEE! pun, pun!) for anybody who was foolish enough not to take my advice and skip it!

So that was my ice story. If you didn't like that riveting tale of adventure and tragedy, pathos and human drama... Well. I just don't know what to say to you.

Finally, FRIENDSLIST SWAP 2005!! Brought back due to popular MY demand! Hurrah! Who is the minion NOW, Circe? Who is the minion now?! Hee. Oops, got a little carried away there.

Now, I confess, I did a shameful job this year of properly swapping, since the whole sitting at my computer for any length of time thing is kinda...not fun. That and because _lore's flist scared the bejeesus out of me with it's length and breadth. All told, it's probably 3 times the size of mine. So I could give it nothing like the attention I give YOU guys. And that makes me cry a little. However, that's not to say that I did not have a good time, and I think that I will try to do more browsing on my swapflist later today, to make up for it, and report back.

That being said, I did learn SOME things during the time I could spend there, and hopefully will learn more later!

The last thing that I learned is that "wild success" is not nearly strong enough to describe circe_tigana's flist swap this year, because it was everywhere and amazing and everybody seems to have had a great time, met new people and new communities and learned a lot. But that in the end, we really, really love our flist. I know I do. *HUGS YOU ALL*
