Please be warmer. I AM SO COLD! Even in wool socks and wearing the gorgeous, gorgeous scarf/shawl that lalejandra made me! And ok, fine, you're working on it - you're supposed to be in the 50s by Sunday. That's not helping the single digits today - particularly when with wind chill it's negative single digits!

And also? I overslept this morning. Due to a complicated series of events that involved me going to bed early, waking up unable to sleep at 1:30, having my mind whirl and whirl for the next THREE and a HALF hours with thoughts about 1) fic and 2) projects at work. Alternating. Which can be really, really surreal. And then I finally fell back asleep about 4am *sigh* And then woke up at 8:17. I am supposed to leave the house at 8:20 so...you do the math.

And then, in irony of ironies? After I get to work today, swmboss tells me to "hold off on that project, we're having a meeting at 10:00 and we might not be doing it after all". Hah! So I had near-insomnia for NOTHING!

On the other hand, I did get a good night's sleep, even if it was centered around four hours of tossing and turning.

OhH! And lets give you all an update on the back situation, shall we? Because I know you're DYING to know! They were gonna reschedule me for the 24th! Which nearly made me break down in tears - but then I called another doctor in the same complex and now it's back on for tomorrow at 10:00. So keep your fingers crossed for me then! Because swmbo = tired of pain!

However, in MUCH MUCH better news? I obviously didn't have time for breakfast today, because of the sleep thing. But what had totally slipped my mind was that today was the day that our Senior VP was making French Toast for all of us! SO mmmM! I had coffee and french toast for breakfast and really, that's the perfect way to start the day. He makes a mean french toast, too.

Also, I've apparently been fandom_wanked. Hee. My amusement over the situation has now reached extreme levels, because of the fact that when reading through the newest stuff F_w linked to I found out that, just as I predicted, the argument of "if you don't agree with me, you obviously didn't understand" has been invoked. Hee. Yes. Yes, that's it exactly. Aww, fandom. Sweet, sweet fandom.

And in conclusion, for those of you who missed it, I am in love with Strindberg and Helium. Strindberg/Swmbo OTP! Black and bleeding. Black like my need. Bleeding like my HEART!
