And now...
*sniff* I'm back at work. My glorious New Year's Adventure is officially over, for I got up this morning and drove my Fod to the airport. She texted me about 30 minutes ago to say they were closing the airplane doors - by now she has successfully departed. I missss my Fod. I was driving to work on the way home and kept thinking that the passenger seat seemed awfully empty. And also, KC was trying to freeze her to death - they had the doors to the plane open and she nearly turned into a Fodcicle!

Also, not only is my heart icy and cold from missing people, the rest of me is about to be as well! For we have the looming threat of an ice storm in Kansas City (thus meaning Fod has the Best.Timing.Ever.) - we have a forecast of up to an inch accumulation of ice, and then two to three inches of snow on top of it. That's very thick ice, eek. VERY THICK ICE, ARRIE! PLEASE BE ON DUTY TO SAVE ME! Possibly power outages. POSSIBLY DEAD SWMBOS!!
Ok, hopefully not that last bit. Particularly because I do not think I shared the oh-so-exciting news with my flist-at-large that I have a doctor's appointment for my back on Friday afternoon. Which is good because it's already bugging me - I apparently got totally spoiled by yesterday's doing ALMOST NOTHING because I felt fine all day.
Speaking of doing ALMOST NOTHING - Fod and I finished off the entire Season 1 of the OC. Well, she finished it, I'd actually already watched it when it was live. We also went to FOUR different craft stores in search of just the right yarn and knitting needles for my little Slytheros. Four. In one night. And had very good Thai food, mmm. Appetizers that made me wiggle with delight, delicious food (except Fod didn't like my sauce and made faces for HOURS) and I got to take the leftovers home. Wee! I am set for dinner tonight and tomorrow, for sure!
Also, in quite happy news - we have a kitchen sink at work! YES! What a way to ring in the new year :) It's small, and only one basin, but it is here and it is ours and it is going to make life a gazillion times easier. Yay, kitchen sink! We luff you.
And now I both 1) go back to work and 2) probably will be rolling my eyes in my LJ later on about the events I missed this weekend, because that is what I do. But I promise to cut-tag it for the gazillion and one of you (or, you know, 200) who were not gone and thus are beyond sick of the whole thing.
Because swmbos are generous souls! GENEROUS, CIRCE!! REMEMBER THAT!! NOT EVIL! WE ARE TRUSTHWORTHY!
*love and hugs to you all*
