Because I live by what I can scrounge in the post-holiday festivities at work. Nutrition be damned!!

Also, I gotta say, I make a mean cup of coffee. It is so freaking good I could cry. CRY!! But in a good way. And I finished it in the time I took to type this post and now I want another.

A couple people friended me. In addition to my "HI", I SWEAR I hope you actually read several entries down or my userinfo, because otherwise you might be disappointed! And then I might cry myself to sleep and it is SO COLD that the tears would freeze to my face and I would DIE. And we don't want that, do we? NO! Ok, some of you might, but most of you don't! But welcome to my LJ, coffee is free, brownies are 1.58 plus tax. Or, you know, free.

I am wearing toasty-Linney-socks again. Warm feet make me happy. Warm feet, heating pad against my back and coffee.

Also deadlines. No, wait. Those are the things that don't make me happy! Particularly deadlines on dockets that get submitted on Friday but given to me yesterday (wednesday!) and due today. So in theory it LOOKS like I had a week to do it, and instead I had...a day. Still, it's a fairly easy one and I can whip it out without a problem. My more flexible deadlines...yeah. HI NEW YEAR!! COME AND TAKE MY DOCKEtS AWAY!!! Darn those sneaky departments, distracting me with glue.

However! With luck we get let go early today. My original plan was to pack my car and if we got let home early (good chance) just do the four hour drive to my mom's. Yeah. No. Anybody that knows me has probably been doubting my ability to be that organized ever since I first brought it up. I don't think it's gonna happen. Because the more I sit here with my beloved heating pad, the more I think I shouldn't attempt a car drive after a day's (or half a day's work). Plus, an additional day on an air mattress on the floor? Not my brightest idea.

And so I go with Plan B!!

Last night mostly consisted of the couch and West Wing again. Tonight I could finish it!

I also! In the last couple of days I've gotten cards from: knotted_rose, ladycat777 (including a supersweet little Buffy & Dawn sister fic, aww. I love it. I am such a sap for them as sisters! Also, hee, coffee card!) and wolfling. AND a package of, mmmm, COFFEE AND CHOCOLATE from the ever-fabulous marguerite_26!! I could smell it as soon as I opened the package and it was just heaven drifting out, omg!! Mmmm. I will bring the coffee to work next week and drink it, because it smells awesome. *happy sigh* You are so awesome. I am a happy swmbo.

Except, however, for one thing:

I LEFT MY PHONE AT HOME AGAIN!! And this time I can not even blame moireach! I have nobody to blame but myself. I simply was bad and running late (and STILL got to work like 20 minutes late) and was juggling so many different things I just...forgot. *sulks*

Also I just know I'm getting in trouble. SO MUCH TROUBLE. I need to start stockpiling bribes so people forgive me.

In the meantime, I am very cold and leezardlike in the not good way. So please wrap me up in heated towels and hot stones and rub my feet and give me lots of hot beverages and love. And I will do the same to YOU! Because there is ice and snow and storms EVERYWHERE! Except, of course, in Australia. LUCKY PEOPLES!
