I hope you have an absolutely wonderful day and I'm sending you massive *hugs*!

It's not even 7:30 and I'm posting. Swmbo is posting about two hours ahead of her schedule, as irregular as it is! Why is that, you might ask? Well, tragically, I am one, having to go into work early today and two, once there I will be at an 'interactive bootcamp' all morning. An interactive bootcamp! Will there be pushups? Will there be forced laps? Will there be, please, yes, black leather boots?!

Sadly, the answer to all of these questions is no. Actually, except for the last for I shall be wearing black leather boots. But that, my friends, is neither here nor there. While I am freezing in a conference room where we find it impossible to shut off the air conditioning or close the vents, longing for coffee refills, speaking with analysts and web designers and optimization experts....I will not *gasp* be online. That's right! For hours, there will be NO SWMBO!!! Be strong, my friends. I know that you can survive this - you have in the past. I will be thinking of you. Thinking of you, in the immortal words of me, hardcore.

Now, some of this was covered in comments in my last post but I wouldn't wish trying to find that on my worst enemy. My best friends on the other hand...no, no. I am nice. I share with you the information that swmbo and her meta socks did NOT win Crazy Sock Day!! [Insert gasps of horror from the crowds]. She did, however, win an honorable mention, aka third place. Hurrah! It turns out that the meta socks, while extremely cool, can not compete with the fact that Coworker H wore candy cane socks to which she attached actual candy canes. DO the judges accept bribery? It turns out if it's sugary, they do indeed, my friends. They do indeed. And second place was won by Stalking Santa Stockings. Oh yes! He sees you when you're sleeping, he knows when you're awake...he knows if you've been good or bad, so be good for goodness SAKE! Socks of Santa with googly eyes. The winner of second place was Coworker N. However, while I won neither a free lunch NOR a toothbrush, I am content with my honorable mention. Poor swmboss 2.0 didn't even place. And as he said 'his reindeer weren't mentioned, and when the reindeer aren't happy? Well, there will be a slaying tonight!'

Lastly, tragic news came to me last night. Bear, MY BEAR, is deserting me. She is heading home and will have limited internet access. Not only now but ON MY BIRTHDAY! SWMDAY!!! We're pondering if this is at all acceptable. I CAN TAKE BACK THE BEAR HUGS!!!

Additional Lastly, making a liar out of myself: violetsmiles - I luff you! I am so sorry that the fates keep conspiring against me so that EVERY single time you call lately I am on my way out the door or in the middle of something and then every time I suggest you can call me RIGHT BACK at, you are *grumble* working. I am not approving. HRMFS. I see Danawoods won you in the lottery. *growls*

Something else was gonna be sai...oh! Speaking of people who desert me or who just disappear. Fodness? STOP poking people with needles and letting your brain dribble out your ears while watching West Wing. I haven't talked with you in, omg, 36 hours or something. Also, check your email. It's totally not fun to mock you with kovsky and cc you on emails if you don't READ THEM.
