First of all, extra-squishy, massive hugs to my ashlyn26. She was gonna get 'em anyway because I got my Birthmas package yesterday, which absolutely rocked beyond the telling. Soap DVDs, books and... measuring spoons. In my head, she's looking at my Amazon wishlist and going "swmbo's wishlist is composed primarily of DVDs, books and kitchen stuff. I need to get her some of EACH!" And then throwing in the measuring spoons. BUT I LOVE THEM!! I love them all, and I was so excited last night, yay! Happy BIRTHMAS TO ME!! Ashy is also about the only person who could actually get away with Birthmas instead of remembering that christmas and swmboday are two totally different holidays. Plus, she told me ahead of time that they are simply packaged together out of convenience and not in any attempt to mesh the two days together. And also, I didn't have to wait for Christmas for the second half. Yay! I am impatient. Anyway, she gets squishes for that and extra squishes because it's a rough month and I loves her.

Now, in work news:

Well. Swmboss has strep throat and so will not be in today -notification email: "I'll re-open the kissing booth on Wednesday. :) ew." Which, gah! Because, hey, I totally have questions for her! DAMN IT!

She's available by email, though, so that's something. But also! Coworker N is also mysteriously absent and we're not sure why yet ! If she's coming in late, or whatever. And the reason we don't know is that 1) swmboss is out and so can not tell us and 2) my VP is ALSO in hiding meetings. It is like a pit of loneliness!! I have been flirting with crying on Manager H's shoulder about it all morning. And I offered her oatmeal, oh yeah, baby. The good stuff, high class, penthouse quality oatmeal, not the kind you buy off a guy in the parking lot.

But yeah, I have coffee (very good) and oatmeal (also scrumptious) and there's strange pieces of plastic in the women's restroom so I'm avoiding it there.

And I remembered the magic phone today! I nearly fell over when I was leaning down to get it, because I had a night in which I crashed very early and yet STILL overslept this morning, majorly overslept. And could have gone right back to sleep, I was that tired - which worries me because I don't want to find out Coworker N is sick like Swmboss and I'm fighting it off as well. Still, optimism! I also had really weird dreams with vampires, zombies and sushi. And the most horrific part was when I went somewhere, ordered the sushi, and it came out drenched in tabasco sauce. And I was told 'we always serve it this way unless people request differently - it's cajun style sushi'. *facepalm* My subconscious needs to be taken out and SHOT.

However, the countdown to my birthday continues! It's the second day of swmness! And while Arrie came up with an absolutely glorious, entirely-coffee related version of the 12 Days of Swmness, for today I am going with something different.
