That's me for today. I made beef curry last night (mmmm) and had leftovers for lunch. And will bring my lunch tomorrow at work as well, yay! (except, my god, tomorrow is monday, where did my weekend GO?!?)
So, today has been a day of total relaxation. I watched episodes of the West Wing, which I was introduced to when I visited SF, so I netflixed it the first disk and watched the second four eps last night and this morning. I like it, but President Bartlett makes me want to kick him. Often and a lot. Then I took a long, hot bubble bath. And I watched Home at the End of the World. Which I loved but it made me so melancholy *sniff* Also, some of the way scenes were shot was simply gorgeous.
Then I moved on to the cheese - Tru Calling DVDs. Cause, eee, Eliza. As Ros says "you're a true fan" with a very implied insanity. But you know what? Even though I mostly bought it because the last half or so of the season actually started getting decent? Rewatching it on DVD is surpisingly pleasurable. I don't know if it'sthe lack of expectation or the lack of commercials or, possibly, the baileys I had in my hot cocoa (and the blueberry scone, because today is a day of indulgence) or what, but I'm very good with it. So yay!
And at one point I was trying to keep up with text messages from Fod, Kovsky and Twat all at the same time, so I felt much like a superhero in that I mostly succeeded. And I took more Tavist for my ear, and I might not feel the need to pull a van gogh. We'll keep monitoring the situation closely!
And it's wet, rainy and gloomy and feels like hours later than it really is. Like it should be naptime, or something.
Now for my real beef with the world - I got no mail yesterday. OR Friday. And by no mail I mean, nothing. No bills, no stupid credit card invites, no flyers from local stores, nothing. Which is just WEIRD, particularly two days in a row. GRR!! I am so suspicious. SO SUSPICIOUS. I better get lots of mail on Monday! Or I will...well, probably go quietly insane. Possibly with loud rantings because part of the crazy is the irrationality of it all, including my statements versus reality.
Ok. Now to enjoy the fact that there's still about eighteen hours til I must be at work. Hurrah!
