Happy Monday! And google is being tricksy and being 'service unavailable' again!

BUT! Check it out! This is obviously not a GIP because that would mean me actually stopping at some point. But look, LOOK at the icon that calendae made me! And it is soooo true - with enough coffee, I could rule the world. *happy sigh* Mmm...cofffffeee (mine was excellent)

So, um, last night I had to go to the grocery store. (Kovsky and Ash asked: How often do you GO to the grocery store? EVERY DAY?! Answer: No! Only a couple times a week, usually. And last time I went it was only for milk and juice!! *sulks* And that was Wednesday - I don't think Wednesday to Sunday is an unreasonable grocery store time.) So I go into the garage, get into my car, am thinking 'wee, first time actually driving the new car, if we dont' count test driving and going home from the dealership!! Um, of course the grocery store is actually even closer and I'd seriously considered just walking to it because it was such a gorgeous day and then I was like, um, swm? TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE CAR!

SO I tried. I put the key in the ignition and...it won't turn. Like, at all. And I'm trying and freaking out slightly, and it won't turn and I think - ok, they gave me two keys, maybe the other set is the one I drove home with and this set was given to me incorrectly. So I run into the house and get the other set. And try again. And I hurt my finger doing it and I'm just about to give up and then...

Poof, it turns really easily. I STILL don't know why I had so much trouble - and then on the way home from the grocery store and then again this morning? No problems. Thank goodness! But it was so weird. (which reminds me - calendae on Saturday: You should name your car Kovsky. Me: DUde! I don't want a car that MOCKS me!!) *peers at car*

life as we know it is NOT on this Thursday. Which I should be grateful for since I wouldn't be home and able to force people to watch with me. But it gave me an "omg, is it cancelled?!" panic attack when I saw. But it's on again on the 18th, so it's all good.

Also this morning I spent like 15 minutes looking for my glasses and totally disrupted my schedule *facepalm* But wee, I am back on track now.

And now, in "news to help others!" - I signed up for the blockbuster online movie delivery by mail thing - you know, their answer to Netflix. This was two weeks ago. And they don't have nearly enough movies in stock and not a local office so turnaround and availability is kinda slim. But you know, two week free trial. And the overall amount is cheaper than netflix by like 50 cents, plus you get coupons for free movie rentals in the actual blockbuster store, so it's a better value that way. BUT! If the movies take forever to get to me, it's obviously not. And I wasn't going to pay for two services because I am now on a Strict Budget. So Saturday night I go to cancel and on the cancellation screen it basically says "We know we still suck, do you want to try another month free on us while we try to improve service levels?"

And of course I said YES! So anyway, that's my tip - if you're thinking about trying blockbuster, it's pretty crappy, but depending on how fast they improve and how long this offer lasts, you might get six weeks of free movies. And I am not sure where their local shipping offices are, but some of you are surely in a better area than I am for it! (I'm totally spoiled because Netflix now has a KC office so I am usually next-day service).
