I am SO COLD this morning, it's unbelievable. Supposedly we have the heat on at work - and we neeeeed it!

FYI, I have not voted yet, because *facepalm* I am still trying to recover from daylight savings time. AGAIN this morning, I woke up an hour early, at what would have been my normal time to wake up. Again I thought, 'argh, so tired, so cold, need another hour's sleep'. Again I took advantage of that extra hour to sleep, um, an hour and a half or so. Daylight Savings Time totally screws with my body!

This is one of those times, though, that I'm incredibly glad that I work really close to home, because I should be able to go over lunch and vote without too much problem. With luck it'll actually be less crowded if I do that than getting up early today would have been. And with extraordinary luck I will even have enough time to swing by my house for a proper cup of coffee.

Because I can't even drink the coffee here. WE NEED A SINK! And the water cooler/purifier. Because the waterfountain has incredible calcium buildup and the water, this is disgusting, please avert your eyes, has little chunks of calcium buildup floating in it when it flakes off. OMG SO ICKY!! So until they get the new stuff in, there's no coffee unless I go across the street to the old building. Which, I confess, TEMPTING.

I am shaking my head over the fact that this is the week chosen for LJ maintenance. Because I'm betting today (and possibly the rest of this week) are going to be the busiest possible traffic for LJ and so of course it's going to be slow and wonky to BEGIN with, because of maintenance. I already made a totally non-election related post in a community that isn't even showing up on my own flist. So I have no idea how much of my flist I can or can't see at any time. Gah. On the bright side, Kita and Ros started a new set of tags, in [livejournal.com profile] kitanotjames and I want more more more. Even though they freak me out!

This was the whinest post, omg! *kicks self* I blame the lack of coffee and the HUNGER. FOR JUSTICE!

Oh. Wait. Not Justice. For food. I should probably stop obsessing about Holtz for a while. Except - not gonna happen. Yes, that he might know the pain that he’s inflicted on his countless victims. A brilliant curse, I must admit. Gypsies do have a knack for creative vengeance. Where they fail, however, is in the execution of Justice. And that I will have. Eeee! *wiggles* My new plan is to watch S3, just the Holtz bits. *beams* Not, um, NOW, but over the next week or so.

I babble. I babble because I care! And because my hands are sooo cold that only the rapid typing on the keyboard is keeping the blood circulating. Mmmm...blood. Oops, wrong character.

Have a fantastic day, my friends! Tonight is Veronica Mars and then Election Coverage out the wazzoo! OR perhaps even IN the wazzoo. We'll have to see.

Weeee!! The three C's!

Civic Duty, Coffee and Chocolate - that's the way to spend the lunch hour. (also the fourth C of COLD, because I still am!)

I'm pleased to report that I got in and out really quickly. My BFF went to vote early this morning and said there were huge lines at 6:20am (she went at 6, got out by 6:20). But it actually did work out as I figure - most people who live in this area don't work close enough that they can swing by to vote anytime, and I skipped out for a very early lunch and avoided the bulk of the crowds.

In and out and with time to go home for lunch. Which was followed by an absolutely gorgeous, amazing, beautiful cup of coffee. Perfection in a mug, warming both my body and my soul. AND three pieces of Halloween chocolate - two small hersheys and a kitkat. Oh yes, self indulgence! Who says democracy isn't it's own reward?! Um I think I just made that up. Whatever. COFFEE!

Also, I have my review/meeting with the COO of our company tomorrow (EEEK!) so if anybody has any spare vibes that they can send my way at 2:00 central, they'd be much appreciated, k, thanks! Which also means I need my wits about me, so no staying up too late monitoring the election *sulk*

gmail keeps flipping out and wanting to send me only to star messages, and the only way I can figure out how to fix it is to sign out and then back in. SO WEIRD!

*love to you all*

Also, this weekend I'm going to be dogsitting, hurrah.

Lastly, I have been brainwashed by advertising into wanting a Kia because - cheap! Warranty! But not so indoctrinated that I do not want to solict more info. So - anybody out there have a Kia? Know of somebody? Feedback, good! I only know of one person in real life that has one and I don't even know her, she's a coworker of my Mom's and really does like hers.

But - CHEAP! However, what I am wanting is "INEXPENSIVE" and not "CHEAPLY MADE". Obviously. *cough* Because seriously, one way or another, I'm going to need at LEAST a new-to-me car soon, because right now my car is so close to death's door that I have to keep taking the quarters off its headlights.
