There are few better ways to start the morning than with coffee and a toasted wheat bagel with cream cheese and strawberry jam. Stalkers? Please take note of how much I like these things so that you have the kitchen fully stocked before you kidnap me and hold me captive.
So I read Episode 6.1 Flutter last night. For the handful of people who don't know, that's the first of the virtual season episodes from
ats_nolimits, which is the brainchild and creation of some of the most talented people in the Jossverse fandom. I've loved the preliminary things they've done - the faux TV guide covers, the rumors and articles, and the episode was put up a couple days ago and I summoned up the courage to read it last night (because of my missing the real show, not from any fear about the episode itself!)
And I read it and am completely enthralled. I still have to give proper feedback later today, but I want to tell everybody who hasn't read Flutter yet, they need to, right now! It's unbelievably good - the characters are dead on, the dialogue and snark just sparkle, it's exciting, it's enthralling, it references previous seasons and yet starts a new one off to a brilliant start. Good guys, bad guys, innocent bystanders and snarky demons. It's perfect. They really should just film this and put it on Showtime RIGHT NOW.
And
thebratqueen's Gunn voice! Best Gunn I have ever heard, and how much do I love Gunn? I could hear every single word in J. August's voice and *shiver* SO GOOD! I wish I could steal TBQ and keep her in my basement and make her write Gunn for me ALL DAY LONG. I wonder how she feels about toasted wheat bagels with cream cheese and strawberry jam?
Anyway, go and read it RIGHT NOW!
( Morning tragedy )
Also I watched Forgiving through The Price last night and had to replay the scene with Connor flipping out of the portal three times. Because...Connor! When that aired I spent a week just...considering what it would be like to be raised in a Hell Dimension, the darkest of the dark worlds, by your father's mortal enemy. And SO MUCH LOVE was born. *shivers*
And I was just walking down the hallway after having refilled my coffee mug with life-giving force when I passed swmboss who said in an extraordinarily cheerful voice "swmbo!" (Ok, she said my real name, but that destroys the illusion.) And I immediately looked at her with suspicion, because nobody should greet me with that much enthusiasm. And said in a hesitant voice..."Yesss?" And she switched to low-seductive-evil-villainess voice "We meet again! In the hallway...". And I cringed and ran away. She's plotting something.
