This labor day I am avoiding labor.
Wait, I lie. I finished mowing the lawn - I did half yesterday (oh so productive) and half today and now it is done. Done! And I made a huge pot of chicken soup yesterday and muffins today so I'm being terribly domestic.
But the worst of it all is that I've finally given in to Harry/Draco. Given in with a vengeance. Ages and ages ago Circe said "read Tissues of Silver" and I made a mental note and deftly avoided following her command. And then a couple weeks ago Vi said "read Tissues of Silver" and again I made a mental note and deftly avoided listening to her. And then Saturday I was realizing I didn't know exactly what I wanted to read and *sigh* I thought "Well, they TOLD me too, and neither would steer me wrong, right?" And they didn't. *cries* So I read it and loved it (DAMN IT!) and then Circe said "now read Underwater Light" (WIP! *facepalm*) which I started yesterday and oh god, I was up until four freaking am reading it. And it wasn't until I hit the end that I realized it was a WIP. So I cried. But I could NOT put it down. And then I woke up at 7:30 and thought "thank god it's a holiday" and then I went back to sleep and slept until just before 9. And then I read another huge long one this morning, half before and half after the infamous lawn mowing. And now I'm on yet another because I emailed Arrie at about 4 am last night crying over the fact that I was tricked into a WIP.
So she rec'ed me more fics. And now my entire world is nothing but really long, plotty Harry/Draco Potterverse fics and yet I still want more and more and more and the craving is out of control and seriously, I really have actual work that I brought home to do this weekend that I need to do tonight. But not now. For I have more fic to read. And that fic is all that matters. I haven't even watched the last of the Smallville eps like I was gonna. Or the Babylon 5. Or done anything but live and breathe HP.
Well and stalk Twat and Kovsky on the road. And Vanillacokehead, who is safe and sound and ready to be discovered in Hollywood! And now I'm trying to decide if I should make myself something indulgent like an iced frappacino or a latte to have with my Harry Potter. We shall see.
