I woke up this morning with the most splitting headache. I'm completely jealous of Lilah. No, wait, Lorne. I want to be Lorne right now, so I could take my head off, stick it in a basket somewhere, and come back to it later, when the pain is gone. But I'll wait for the painkillers to kick in since my preferred method of medicating with a hot bath and coffee didn't cure it.
And I was just on the phone with Ash and she's watching the hurricane approaching there in Florida - Florida also being where she lives. And she's all "This guy's going to get blown into the ocean! Check it out, do you see that?!" And I'm like, um, yeah, Ash? I can't see your television from Kansas, ya know. I don't exactly have a video phone yet. *pats her* And she's responding with "Yeah, but I thought maybe you'd be watching this...". KANSAS. Not Florida. Not watching Florida TV. The storm has gone to her brain. She will now kick my ass for posting all this, but hey, the bitca defriended me yesterday *sulk*
Rereading Wodehouse - in this case The Inimitable Jeeves for the gazillionth time and you know, Wodehouse makes all things better. He makes headaches become nuisances and he makes me happy. Oh so happy. *happy sigh* Because there's just something about lines like:
We Woosters do not lightly forget. At least, we do--some things--appointments, and people's birthdays, and letters to post, and all that--but not an absolute bally insult like the above. I brooded like the dickens. - after Bertie overhears an insult on his intelligence. It's making me wiggly with delight, yes it is.
Anyway, I am busy being a disgrace to the neighborhood and now mowing my lawn, because of the need to rip my own head off. Three day weekends give me THREE DAYS to procrastinate the lawn mowing, though! Hurrah! No, no they don't. I will be good and I will mow the back yard tomorrow. I did the front last weekend and it is still fine. Also I went into the garage and found boxes of MST3k tapes *wiggles happily again* Not ALL the ones I wanted, but gems like "Cave Dwellers" and "Monster A-Go-Go" and "Outlaw" and "Jungle Goddess". SO weee!
Because really, nothing takes one's attention off mind-splitting pain like side-splitting laughter. And juice.
*hugs* Have a good weekend, everybody!
