Just think, about this time a week ago I was falling face down in the center aisle of a plane and almost mortally-wounding myself, then fleeing in shame. And now my knee was driving me crazy all weekend with that itching that means it's healing. *squirms* Stupid healing knee.
But so far today, finally, it seems to have stopped. Which, as long as it doesn't mean that I am now permanently frozen in a bruised state, is good for a hurrah. Hurrah!
Oh! My mombo called this morning, since she'll be driving up on Friday to spend the weekend. And we'll watch Season 3 Buffy and Bend it Like Beckham and go to my best friend's babyshower. And she'll reorganize the cabinets when I'm sleeping. But she's bringing me presents! Three new frying pans *dance of glee* She told me all about 'em on the phone - she was going to give them to me as a Christmas (or Birthday, it's just a week apart so presents get bought and then decided on at the last moment) but then...Mom can never wait to give presents, so I get 'em early.
And she's bringing 30 bottles of wine (cause I know![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
bear is dying to know). Yes, Bear, 30 bottles. I don't even know what to say to that myself. Cause last time it was what, 12? And this time it is 30. That's a lot of wine. Perhaps I shall start bathing in it. And she's bringing up a deer roast and rotkraut *flails with happiness* Mmm...
This will probably be the last Mombo visit for a while, cause in October she's going to visit my great-aunt for 10 days and then apparently we're in turkey hunting season and once that starts, Mombo's priorities become completely rearranged and daughters are secondary. And I usually don't go home for Thanksgiving, which means around Christmas time might be the next time. *sniff*
I ended up watching I Will Remember You this morning. My thought, for the first time, is that after the Mohra demon attacks and gets away the first time and Buffy and Angel decide to track it? Buffy asks for a place to change. And then proceeds to change into an outfit that is even LESS suitable looking for fighting demons. *loves her*
Anyway, I hope that everybody has a gorgeous day - I get to start off my morning with the excitement of a meeting, hurrah!
